A 1970 Yorkshire number

At the Brooklands Mini Day in April 2016.

Trangia Mini in a campground fire pit. Big (9 cup?) coffee pot, since 2 adults and a toddler need more than 4 cups of hot water. With the tin-foil wind screen, it doesn't take too long to heat up anyway.

All of this is handmade by me for Mini Lalaloopsies. Many ideas come from MyFroggyStuff (check her out on Youtube!).

After taking the wildflower and junk shots, my sweetie took a wrong turn that was supposed to be by some grass bales. Oops. No, not a mistake at all. In taking another turn to get out of where we were, we stumbled on a pond of cows. Pure delight! Photography is nearly always an adventure, a fun adventure. Thanks for joining in the pasture party with these girls! :) Mini Moo looks nice large!

Certainly no longer retains its Clubman nose, despite being registered as such originally. This car now has a one piece fibre glass front end. Presumably the mods extend to the engine too.

GOZÁN – MINI 1000 (Around 1972)

Name: MINI 1000 (Ref. 90 or Ref. 93)

Scale: approx 1:32

Year: Around 1972

Company: Gozán (Spain)

Size: approx. 9 cm

(...)

"Juguetes Gozán is another Spanish toy company that has recently disappeared."

(...)

"(...) the Pascual family, founded Juguetes Gozán in 1948, together with other mechanics from Payá.

Their first product was a truck made of wood with a cabin made of tin. That tin was retrieved from cans of condensed milk, and the model they built was a famous Spanish truck at that time: Pegaso.

Unfortunately, Gozán disappeared as a company in February 2009. At that time the company had less than 5 employees.

A distinctive sign of this company is the tin used in their toys, very common until the mid-80s. They built mainly trucks, jeeps and cars, but also cranes.

This car here is an exception, because it’s completely made of plastic."

"The Mini is the small car icon of the 1960s. It was produced by BMC (British Motor Corporation) starting with 1959 and was the first car to get the front-wheel-drive.

This space saving solution influenced all the manufacturers, as nowadays FWD is the most popular drive-train layout.

The new MINI was launched in 2001 and got to replace the legend with updates for the 21st Century.

The revolutionary design of the Mini was created by Sir Alec Issigonis (1906–1988), considered a visionary in industrial transportation.

It was intended as an affordable vehicle in response to the oil crisis.

Along its production period it was built at the Cowley plants in the United Kingdom, and afterwards in Australia, Belgium, Chile, Italy, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Uruguay and Venezuela.

(...)

The Mini was designed as a result of the 1956 Suez Crisis, which reduced oil supplies, and forced the UK government saw to introduce petrol rationing.

(...)

Issigonis, that was reputed as being very skilled in designing small vehicles was assigned to this task. Together with a small team of designers Issigonis got to produce the original prototype by October 1957.

The new vehicle was using a conventional BMC four-cylinder water-cooled engine, but had the innovation of mounting it transversely with the the engine oil lubricated, four-speed transmission placed in the sump, and with FWD."

"The First Mini in production version shown to the press in April 1959, and by August several thousand vehicles had been produced ready for sales.

The name “Mini” was not used form the beginning of production. In early advertising material was used the name “SE7EN”. An already famous Morris model at that time was the Minor, which is Latin for “smaller”. So, for the even smaller car the decided to use the abbreviation for the Latin word “minimus”, which means “the smallest”.

Mini quilts made over the winter, I still have several I need to quilt!

I had a spare small frame sitting around, so I turned it into another mini-version mobile suit. The GM Sniper is one of my all-time favorite suits, despite having a grand total of like 15 seconds screentime. Someday I'll do one in my medium frame size, just need to bricklink a fair amount of parts first.
