What remains of the surrounding walls of Maxstoke Priory, an early 14th Century Augustinian monastery in a small village in North Warwickshire. Sadly, the buildings are steadily decaying, but Historic England is partly funding repairs to the boundary walls. This place has a rich and colourful history, full of drama and mystery. Taken while out with a dear friend ... I hope you like my rendition, edited in Topaz Studio with a texture of my own.

The lobby of the Morpheus Hotel, designed by Zaha Hadid and inaugurated in 2018 in Cotai Strip in Macao is simply one of the most mindblowing pieces of contemporary architecture ever made, The whole space looks like a crossover of the Matrix movie and the insides of a precious stone. This is what you see when you look up in search of a ceiling. The vertical bars are elevator shafts.

I am so thrilled about this tail from Cynefin. The creator is such a great artist with a great heart. As a huge mermaid fan she just made my dream come true. I can see how much work she did put into making this tail and it is trully mindblowing so I had to make a photo for it as a big thank you.

After picking up my first Dive mag six years ago I saw an ad for a dive centre like no other. One day I thought, one day. This April we finally dived with Stuart Coves and did the shark feed. Mindblowing.

Similar to a previous image I posted, but this time with more tulip colors!

This place was really mindblowing for me. I don't think I've ever gotten more images in such a short period of time!

I wasn't sure I was going to post this one since I had to remove a horde of photographers in the frame, but I liked it to much!

Description in English, Polish and Dutch

The future appeals to the imagination and the idea of time travel is a wonderful starting point for a science fiction film or series. The futuristic images of earlier science fiction films and series from the 70s and 80s are the reality of today. The best-known examples are the internet and our smartphones. Fiction sometimes becomes reality and reality overtakes the fiction of the past. I had such thoughts when I first saw this beautiful and impressive futuristic public artwork in Wroclaw, Poland. I like colors, but sometimes the choice for a black and white photo is just a little more appropriate. It makes this photo just a little more futuristic. In Wroclaw there are many islands. This special sculpture with the name Nawa is located on the Daliowa Island in the downtown part of the nice city. The city has more bridges than Venice or Giethoorn, but this aside. The Polish world famous Oskar Zięta designed the masterpiece. The architect and designer has won several international awards and received several nominations. A chair designed by him can be found in the Center Pompidou in Paris and he uses the very important and mindblowing sculpture technique FiDU. Fidu is also described as internal printing layout. To create this public installation, the cavities have been blown up between the plates and welded back to the edge. This is the most flexible metal forming technique ever used without the use of tools. It is highly recommended to walk and stand under this reflective and shiny work of art. It is made up of 35 metal arches. Also very interesting is that software has been used in the design where blocks are generated based on input of combined parameters. This creates certain shapes that can positively surprise even the maker of the image. The parameters also ensure that the object is automatically adapted to the environment. The planted vegetation around it creates an organic unity that emerges naturally from the river next to it, with tourists passing by again and again in admiration. Welcome to the future of the present.

Futurystyczne obrazy z wcześniejszych filmów i seriali science fiction z lat 70. i 80. to dzisiejsza rzeczywistość. Architekt i projektant zdobył kilka międzynarodowych nagród i otrzymał kilka nominacji.

How can something so big arise from water, light and air? It is mindblowing, to see such a inconceivable power of nature. This being here is older than centuries, it will be there long time after we are gone. Water, light and air, that's all what's needed. And luck. A lot of luck...

More mindblowing architecture from Gaudi.

Alps of Anniviers - Gran Cornier (3962m), Dent Blanche (4357m),

Pointe de Zinal (3789m) - and the Matterhorn's north face on the center-left in the backround.

We can see how the Pointe de Zinal looks like the miniature of the mindblowing Dent Blanche.

Incredibly, even the angle of the walls is similar!

Magic of the nature!

Come and join me on my Harris and Lewis Photography Workshop 2nd-8th March 2019 £1,395

melvinnicholsonphotography.co.uk/product/harris-lewis-sco...

Just when I thought I had seen it all, Lewis goes and shows me something extraordinary in the form of Garry Beach at Tolsta. On first arriving this one mile sandy beach looks idyllic, calming and unspoiled then you spot the amazing sea stacks of Caisteal a' Mhorair and I feel like a child on Christmas morning, all excited and restless.

How on earth am I supposed to do the outstanding scenery justice. It really was mindblowing. In the end I decided to shoot six vertical portrait format frames with the intention of stitching them together to create one hell of a panorama. Now bearing in mind I shoot with a 50mp monster (Canon 5Ds) so I knew immediately that I was going to spend more time editing the image than it took me to shoot it.

So here it is in all its glory. Beyond amazing detail and quality that its 363MB file size would indicate.

Enjoy

This is definitely one of the best hikes I've ever done. Mindblowing.

From mindblowing views to soaking wet tundra, Greenland was an experience of extremes. In the short arctic summer the top layer of tundra melts, leaving the ground soft and soggy. The situation here was further exacerbated by unseasonally late spring snowfalls which added to the abundance of meltwater. The water cannot be absorbed by the permafrost layer below the surface tundra. Hiking in these conditions was slow, planned routes had to be scaled back. Nature can be humbling, putting us in our place on a soft patch of wet tundra. The photo is a panorama from 2 files in landscape format, a serendipitous creation from my archives.

One of the most mindblowing shows of this year :-)

Thank you to everyone who has found something that they like in my visions. It's impressive to think, that 500+ people like what you do, when it's mindblowing to just have 1. Thank you, again one and all!

Have a silent and peaceful weekend my friends!

Occassionally I find a piece of street art that just blows me away, this garage door in Brunswick by Manda Lane is one of them.

The intricacy and detail of her beautiful black and white floral design is mindblowing. The clean sharp lines of her brushwork - just amazing. Please zoom in and look for yourself.

Centennial Tower is a 158m office skyscraper in the central business district of Singapore. I didn't like the sides of the building. But the front was mindblowing. The curved side reflected the light in a very interesting way. To get the best effect, I tried to use the polariser in different angles. Even got security coming out. Hey, what are you doing? It ended with a half hour cool chat. After that, I broke my polariser, while I was putting everything away.

I live in a high tower surrounded by a moat

I have an umbrella to protect me from the night

Breathing deeply, I put the pedestals

Tomorrow I'll be big, today I´m little

I put the world on its head upside down

I play with the words on the contrary and backwards

I trace some spots on black and white

Tomorrow I'll be big, today I´m little

I live in a high tower, it will protect me

Don´t fight with anyone, don´t fight for nothing

My ideals are burning on the stack

Tomorrow I'll be big, today I´m little

- it's mindblowing that after so many years this man still loves me -

I have shot so many images from having visited so many locations this last year that it doesn't take long to find an image from a previous photo album that I haven't processed yet and this image is one such photo.

Captured during my very first sunrise visit to the Forth Rail Bridge near Edinburgh back in September 2016 with Gavin Duncan. We ventured down to Port Edgar for this capture and it was so beautiful just watching the sun slowly rise and illuminate the sky with its fiery colour.

I was so lucky with the weather during my five days travelling up from East Lothian and this sunrise was mindblowing. I love the inclusion of the boats in the distance.
