Our galaxy is about a hundred thousand light years long and a thousand light years wide. Inside this generally flat disk, the Sun and its planets are enveloped in clumps of gas and dust, more than 26,000 light years from the tumultuous heart of our galaxy. A wave of dust and stars envelopes the galactic center.

“mysterious like the moon,

she would delight you in her glow,

her light alone can make you question yourself...

&

who was she?

She will never let you know.”

Let's hope someone does not decide to open the drain ... that would suck for all.

Paisaje nocturno en Intendente Alvear La Pampa

I have been traveling for 3 weeks and buried in work before that, so it is going to take a little time to catch up. Please bear with me as I am very interested in seeing what everyone has been up to!

I took this from the beach at a beach house I was renting with my family. There was a lot of light pollution and a bright moon, as you can see. To make things worse, my intervalometer stopped working, so my exposures were limited to 30 seconds. This is 6 images stacked for the sky. The foreground shot was taken from the same location a few hours earlier.

Thanks for your patience!!
