A view of the stars while at the north rim of the Grand Canyon ... with a little light painting on the trees there too.
It's my first milkyway panorama attempt ever, i know it's not perfect, please be kind! The telescope was turning around at that time that's why it is like moving...

faint milky way above my house in Royston Hertfordshire England. I am in bad need of darker skies away from city and town lights. the ambient light is the moon which obviously made more light pollution
Turning the camera overhead while in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Hope to remember to try this this summer if we make it to Utah and then compare the skies :)
Schon länger stand dieser kleine See auf meiner Liste und endlich war ich der Meinung, dass sie "richtig" steht. Ich hätte sehr gerne noch ein paar weitere Stellen am Ufer ausprobiert, nur leider ist mein Urlaub vorbei und ich muss morgen arbeiten. So hat dann doch die Vernunft gesiegt.
Da der See so ruhig ist, hat sich alles sehr schön gespiegelt. Ein wenig Nebel hätte ich mir noch gewünscht, aber den wünsche ich mir immer ;-) Ein weiterer Grund es dort nochmal zu versuchen. Vielleicht auch mal in der Früh.

夫との旅行で、宿を出て夜中に撮りに行きました。
夕方まで雨が降っていましたが、夜に晴れて、とてもラッキーでした。
有名な場所ですが、行き方がわからず迷いました。
いつも通り夫は車で過ごし、夜道を一人で歩きました。
この場にいたカメラマンは数人でした。
久しぶりに見るクリアな天の川だと言っていました。
美ヶ原は濃霧になることが多く、遭難が多発しました。その対策の一つとして霧鐘を備えた避難塔が「美しの塔」ー美ヶ原観光連盟公式サイトより

So this was taken in the Westfjord's of Iceland. The Kp index was fairly high at a 5 if I remember correctly. It's a 3 portrait image panorama which I didn't think would work out without masking and alignment trouble due to the aurora moving in the sky, but all merged on the first attempt to my surprise.
I was in awe of the colours being presented on this night, along with the obvious green and pink I also witnessed orange, magentas, violets and blues.

Das Bild ist ein einreihiges Timeblend Pano. Einmal für die MS kurz vor Sonnenaufgang und einmal zur Blauen Stunde. Die Lichtspur ist eine Extraaufnahme die "Zwischendurch gemacht wurde.
Grundbearbeitung der Bilder in LR anschl in PS die einzellnen Bilder zusammengefügt und ein Pano daraus gemacht. Ein zarter Orton und Farbund Kontrastanpassung (NIK Collection und AF-Panel)
