I loved this beautiful , very majestic oak tree, it was covered on acorns too ! Very late posting today, it's very tiring looking after our 4 year old grandson for the weekend, but I wouldn't miss it for anything :)

Today I maintained my record of never coming up to this point without a significant tumble. Today's one hurt and still does.
And little Darcy stood shivering in her pink coat. I decided we should go down and get warmer. No sooner had we left and the sun burst through. Bugger. And then the fall.

Cedar Waxwing takes a break from trying to catch dragonflies along the Salmon Creek Trail. Cedar Waxwings catch and eat insects also, although we are used to seeing them gorging on berries and fruit.

The mighty Mitre Peak towers over Milford Sound. With almost 1700m height actually not a huge mountain. However, since the flanks rise steeply from sea level, it looks incredibly majestic. I was lucky that the cloud cover broke up exactly at sunrise and the light hit the summit.
Nearly new CP 7010 is resplendent in classic maroon and grey paint as she hustles train 112 along the Bow River between Lake Louise and Banff.
Remembering Anya, whose lioness yawns were as mighty as her spirit. You are deeply missed.

There is something humbling about mountains. Maybe it’s their tall and grandiose appearance or the initial intimidation when you cast your eyes on it. But ultimately, the most humbling part is the sense of accomplishment that you get after climbing one. This is my journey to sabaragamuwa mighty mountains.
Gommoliya peak is the 13th highest peak in srilanka. You can clearly see lanka ella falls and babarakanda falls while you are at the top of the mountain and samanala wawa reservoir on the other side.
