Swedish tradition for Midsummer’s eve is “to pick seven wild flowers and sleep with them under your pillow, in order to dream of your one true love.”

It was a rainy midsummer but I managed to get this photoshoot of Samelia doing some midsummer magic and lighting a bonfire. Sun even started shining after 10pm which was nice.
The concept behind this photograph was inspired by the fairies, magic and sleeping lovers of Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Nights Dream’. Its true meaning is intentionally left ambiguous, for when one falls asleep one creates worlds of their own.
