Value investing does not mean buying cheap stocks. Rather, it refers to buying shares in a business that is priced below what we determine to be its actual worth. The primary consideration is evaluating if a stock is overpriced, fairly priced or under priced relative to its future income stream and/or net asset value. As example, a mid-cap company that is showing rapid growth and increasing earnings on progressive capital may be a better value than a blue-chip stock that would appear ‘better valued’ based on conventional PE and price/book ratios. The better valued stock may be the one that is ‘more expensive’ by mainstream consensus.

Cummins: Price breakout from the falling supply line, last three month’s base formations augurs well for next up move

The capital goods space is witnessing fresh momentum after the last three month’s base formation and is expected to witness a catch up with the rest of the market.

Cummins India Ltd., a Mid Cap company, was incorporated in the year 1962. It has a market cap of Rs 12677.74 crores and is operating in Engineering sector. The company, a producer of diesel and natural gas engines, generator sets and their related services operates through two main segments: Engines and Lubes.

In January 2020, its share price fell over 2 per cent. A research house Nomura has downgraded the stock to reduce from neutral and cut target to Rs 570 from Rs 585 per share. Today a consolidation is being witnessed.

o The share price of Cummins India has generated a breakout above the lastthree month’s higher base formation (Rs 311-439). In the process, it has also closed above the falling supply line joining highs since May 2019 (Rs 801) signalling a reversal of the corrective trend and resumption of the fresh up move, thus offers fresh entry opportunity with a favourable risk-reward set up

o Structurally, the stock in the last three months of base formation has constantly been forming higher lows as can be seen in the adjacent chart highlighting the positive price structure. ncairways.co/cummins/

Corporate treasuries are moving away from traditional low-yielding products and embracing Ethereum as a yield-generating digital asset. To date, July 2025, small to mid-cap public companies have piled up over 966,000 ETH worth approximately $3.5 billion. This is reflective of a quiet shift in institutional strategy as Ethereum moves away from a speculation play to an investment vehicle with actual advantages. The uptick in adoption is a whopping 730 percent better than last year, which means that these firms are not dipping their toes into the waters, Ethereum is becoming a long-term treasury portfolio addition. The bait is Ethereum’s staking rewards. With yields of between 3 and 4 percent currently possible through on-chain staking, corporate CFOs are finding this a preferable choice to cash reserves and short-term government debt.Where other investments barely stay ahead of inflation, Ethereum staking earns passive yield from a decentralised system that operates 24/7. For businesses with reserves in the bank looking to be put to work, this is an opportunity to earn consistent returns without having to engage in volatile speculative trading.
