This is my first build inspired by Jeff F LEGO Micro Cities book. Took a few ideas from it and made this little build my own. Couldn't recommend this book enough for those wanting to microbuild!

MICRO explores the small universe that is our body and mind.
It delves into a world we cannot see, but is the very fabric of reality, the world of atoms, sub-atomic particles, and quantum fluctuation.
MICRO consists of a 8ft x 12 ft x 8ft structure that has 200 translucent silicone balls hanging from the ceiling of the structure. When bumped into, each one lights up with one of 5 different colors as well as generating a unique sound. As people play with the balls they are engulfed by a symphony of lights and sounds surrounding them on all sides.

Karst is the place where the so called karst-topography is more common, and of course is also the place where it was studied and described for the first time. Karst forms are generated by the dissolution of limestone or other carbonate rocks. Small scale forms like those you can see in the above photo are called in Italian "micro-solchi" (micro-runnels) and when well developed they make the rock surface look like a small scale model of a mountain ridge.
This photo was taken in a dolina close to Zgonik (Ita: Sgonico) in the so called "Carso Triestino" (Karst of Triest).
