Static Method à Le Forum Vauréal

Installation method:

* Put push pins into the wallboard at the lower level of the tile. Line up one corner pin then place the other one using a level.

* Put silicone caulk on the back of the tile.

* Then lift the tile into place and press firmly against the wall once the tile is resting on the pins.

The silicone has enough adhesive strength to prevent the tile from falling off the wall and the push pins have enough shear resistance to keep the tile in place as the silicone cures (even though the tiles weigh a few pounds each).

For safety, I added a small strip of gaffer's tape at the top of the tile to attach the tile to the wall (but really I don't need it).

I will caulk between the tiles after the adhesive silicone is fully cured.
