Trying out the Instax Wide film with "brushed metallics border". Although it looks like "bronze" IRL, it becomes a brown non-attractive color when scanning.

Selma and I are the same in many aspects. Being equally tired is one of them.
Not only are these plastic egg cups a design from the DDR, but the Meyer Optik Görlitz Diaplan 2.8/80 projector lens producing that bubble bokeh is from the former East Germany too. Entire scene is about 6cm across.
To make that bubbly background, a metallic pan scourer is illuminated by a mobile phone torch and I'm hand-holding a UK 10 pence coin (about the size of a US quarter) to give the impression of a full moon. Diaplan lens mounted to the camera with a home-made and 3D-printed adaptor.
Adjustment of levels in PP, with a bit of masking to get the best balance between two shots.

*Personally I really liked the way the metallic paint is shown in the game, with all the "metal flakes" one can easily set up in the garage, I suppose it helps to simulate some truly beautiful paint works.

My plane had part of the engine cowling from an old livery Air Canada CFN56-5A5 engine... It's a bit difficult to see in the picture but the newer polar blue is very much more metallic than the plane old white. Up close it looks spectacularly different. Away from you you don't get the effect as much. I Prefer the metallic look although I'm still not crazy about the polar blue.

What a fantastic species! These Starlings have amazing plumage - a wonderful metallic like shimmer rolls across their feathers with the light!
These Starling migrate from New Guinea each year to breed in Far North Queensland over the summer. They nest in communities that can contains hundreds of birds, building messy, spherical nests that hang from nesting trees. These nests are often only centimeters apart from one another. The noise they make is incredible!

Here's a wasp I've never seen before. This beautiful little nugget was the size of a sesame seed. I think it's Perilampus hyalinus, in the family Perilampidae, many of which are hyperparasitoids - meaning they are parasitoids of parasitoids. (Parasitoids always kill their host eventually, parasites usually don't.)
The Metallic Bloom
The Metallic Bloom: An abstract, psychological portrait. JB’s silhouette is central, trapped in the weave. Radiating out from the back of his throat/head is a "blooming" explosion of metallic textures—silver, copper, and iron shards—representing the panic that tastes like metal. It is violent, primal, and absolute, taking over the visual field.

J'ai ressorti ma mallette toute neuve contenant les ustensiles de barbecue. L'imposante brosse métallique a pris la vedette et ne s'est pas gênée de passer devant tous ses collègues pour le shooting du jour. #Macro #MacroMondays #PickTwo #MetallicBrush
A big beautiful Air Canada A330-300 touches down on runway 24R after a trip from Frankfurt. The toothpaste blue colous are actually a metallic polar blue reflective of the polar blue colours in the arctic ice bergs up north and off the north, east and west coasts of the country... it's rare to appreciate the metallic quality of the livery but in this pic the reflections seem to highlight it a little more than usual.

Tangara labradorides labradorides
(Metallic-green tanager / Tangara verdinegra)
Metallic-green Tanagers inhabit humid montane forests in the Andes in Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. They are mostly blue-green in color, although strongly they appear to be blue or green can change, depending upon light conditions.
Their diet consists almost entirely of arthropods and fruits. Metallic-green Tanagers are usually found in pairs or small groups and often join flocks consisting of multiple tanager species.
There are two recognized subspecies of the Metallic-green Tanager (Storer 1970):
labradorides Boissinneau 1840; type locality Santa-Fé de Bogota [Colombia]
Occurs in western and central Colombia and in western Ecuador (Storer 1970, Hilty and Brown 1986, Ridgely and Greenfield 2001).
chaupensis Chapman 1925; type locality Chaupe, Cajamarca, Peru
Occurs in southeastern Ecuador and in northern Peru (Storer 1970, Ridgely and Greenfield 2001, Schulenberg et al. 2007).
