We usually get these metallic Bees on our blue asters and Cosmos late in the year.

Singapore Mass Rapid Transit (SMRT) Expo Station.
My favourite Station for photography, it is built with the very industrial and a touch of futuristic design with that that shaped like a UFO.
I'm working on a project for Uni, where I'm using lith printing. This was one of the throw away prints (it was even used to test the hot press!). But now that it's been staring at me for a day, I quite like it.
Not sure what's caused the smearing. Maybe I had too many safe-lights on? I've also retained some old brown for the next printing session, which should be helpful.
I've tried to get the tones close to the print itself.

I went out early and found this rather alien looking metallic beetle hanging out on a Dandelion. Tentatively identified as Buprestidae, likely in the genus Acmaeodera. Common name: Jewel Beetle.
Tech Specs: Canon 80D (F11, 1/250, ISO 100) + a Canon MP-E 65mm macro lens (almost 3x) + a diffused MT-26EX-RT with a Kaiser adjustable flash shoe on the "A" head (the key), E-TTL metering, -1/3 FEC). This is a single, uncropped, frame taken hand held. In post I used Topaz Denoise AI and Clarity in that order. I held the flower close to a wall to keep the background from being black.
It was early in the morning and this very cooperative Metallic Chafer Beetle allowed me to take over 200 frames, and I used the opportunity to experiment with the position of my flash heads. This session has led me to stop using a Kaiser Adjustable Flash Shoe on the key light. Due to the changes I've made to my light quality the Kaiser was working against me.

This one reflects golden rays resulting in an almost metallic looking surface. Very reflective and extremely memorable.
At the fabulous place in Oswestry, the British ironworks is amazing to see all sorts of sculptures made from recycled materials..
A local train at Bergen Station, was my next victim of the Lightroom add-on i have been fiddling with the last week.( Silver Efex Pro out of Googles "NIK Collection".) Samyang 12mm.
I love the warble of reflected lines in glass, but it brought a smile to my face to discover the same thing happens with metals. The straight lines of the fantastic red-ish hues stand out against the reflected copper lines. I’ve photographed this exact phenomena in many windows but finding it present in steel was simply wonderful.

I have quite a few of these metallic flies around. They look like they're dressed in a colorful suit of armor. They really seem to like the hydrangea plants. (Maybe a long legged fly?)
