My completed mirror with a metallic gold wash on the grout to compliment the streaks of gold in the blue glass tiles.
I found two of these fancy metallic green bugs on a shrub. I think it is a Green Rose Chafer (Cetonia aurata).
Interior shot in P.O. Pears bar/restaurant on the night of the 2008 Heritage Room Spelling Bee -- the final night of business for Pears! Shot this so that I could edit it down to add to the Squared Circle group.
For the top I used view B which is the middle photo on the top row on the pattern envelope. I made it sleeveless and lined it. I used a strip of velcro to close the top in back. For the skirt I just cut rectangle pieces of both the metallic fabric and lining, gathered them up together and sewed it to elastic for the waistband. And then hemmed both pieces of fabric. Assignment: One of the tougher lighting challenges in photography is dealing with shiny metallic surfaces. The reflective properties of polished metal can play tricks with exposure and make for challenging compositions. There should be many items around the house to use for subjects (cutlery, chromed items, jewelry, etc.).
WIT: A last minute entry for me, I was going to shoot a pair of nail clippers for th texture, but ended up using this wire wisk instead. I liked the lines it made.
Thin and flexible material. Think it's metal and printable. I'm looking for a company that can do this.
