I have received some lovely compliments about my legs! I think this is the shortest skirt I own, so please make the most of it... and enjoy!
This one took very much patience. It was a cloudless sky with hard sunlight. These metallic looking flies look the best when illuminated only by ambient light instead of direct sunlight. The problem is that they get very nervous when there is a sudden shadow and mostly fly away immediately.
So I got into a good position for the photo and moved my shadow ever so slightly above the fly. Finally it worked, but it took 15 minutes of tries until I got this shot. Fortunately the fly always came back :-)
Btw. I took all the latest Insect photos with the Canon EF-S 15-85mm IS USM on a Canon EOS 550D. (I didn't use this lens too often lately but it really shines even on heavily cropped images like this one).
Amazing that this magnificent metallic skirt was only 10 euros. It looks and feels like a million, hence my happy smile :-)

I'm on a roll here with my macros and have hundreds more I could edit and post... :))
Here's an attractive looking fly that landed on a hydrangea flower this morning as I was lost in my macro world... Who knew a fly could be so beautiful!
Selective color effect here and all edited in my wonderful Apple Aperture software...

Don't mind me... just learning that layers can be fun... :-)
I'm not sure if I really like this or not... but it was fun learning that I could do it, and I do like the way it gives the centre a 3D feel.
Think I'll sleep on it. Goodnight... :-)
I was not able to take a shot for yesterday's challenge but I did today hope it counts!
These are earings Luis got me this week. They look really cool and ancient. Well to me they do..
Enjoy will try to be back later to comment your streams! :)
Happy Saturday.
