I annealed some copper to make bangles and some forged pendants. The partially formed bangle will be trimmed and shaped next.

Nice piece of metal work by a local artist, about 1.5 metres across.

Plumpton College Open Day on 8th May featured demonstrations of the skills taught there.

The metalwork shop echoed to the sound of hammers on hot metal - there was a rhythm to the sound.

Later in the evening of our seventh day, the student contingent hung out again for drinks and a light supper in the lobby of the Hilton Hotel and partially watched the Warriors/Lakers game on a giant screen over the bar. I had a yummy artisan pizza.

10 000 straight pins, steel embroidery hoop, fabric

I came across this door on some sort of auto parts junkyard very well off the beaten path. It's obviously homemade; a wooden door with grating and a torch cut frame.

Detached right arm in moutain bike crash required this to be screwed into the collarbone for 4 months - to hold my arm in place whilst it healed.
