It's far beyond the stars
it's near beyond the moon
I know beyond a doubt
my heart will lead me there soon
We'll meet beyond the shore
we'll kiss just as before
Artist: Thrive Collective x, Daze. Time and Graffiti has taken its toll on this wonderful mural. Some of the good parts are still there!

Christmas ornament of a cowboy merman (male mermaid) on a tree at the La Sirena restaurant in Lubbock.
This statue, depicting a merman and his seven sons from a Medieval Ballad, has been on display under water in a canal near the parliament building in Copenhagen since 1992. Some people believe it should be cleaned on a regular basis and illuminated by underwater flood lights at nighttime. I like the way it looks now with an air of mystery and really looking like it belongs down there under water. I found it interesting how the reflection of the South Cardinal Mark, put in place to protect the statue from collisions with boats negotiating the narrow canal, seems to also be intruding into their underwater world.
Seeing some of @whatifchris‘ repaints in the past week really made me want to put myself outside of my comfort zone and try doing a custom repaint I’ve been wanting to attempt for a long while but I’ve been kind of scared to attempt.
After I put my Batman head on the Steve Trevor/Wonder Woman legged hybrid, I figured this was a good enough base to try experimenting on.
This was modelled after the Merman dye job trend (read more about it here: www.boredpanda.com/merman-colorful-beard-hair-dye-men-trend/ ) and I really wanted that 80s Lisa Frank pastel kind of gradient ombre effect.
I feel like something is missing or off about his face so I might try blushing his face to add some depth to his vinyl before I commit to wiping him lol.
Day 14 of #AllanAugust, with Morgan, my merman doll. He was actually a result of me trying to use polymer clay to try using push molds to copy Allan’s sculpt, then I basically sculpted an entire ball jointed body for this head.
I know it’s not a perfect sculpt but I learnt a LOT with working with polymer clay, and how to approach sculpting a doll from scratch if I ever do it again. The most basic tip I can give is that it’s far easier sculpting a full body part THEN adding in joints rather than trying to sculpt pieces with joints in them at first.
His chair is from the one time I went to Queensland and found this souvenir store selling it lol.
Testing the sealing of my Nikonos IV in a mountain lake. So far the seals seem to work just as they should! =) Shot on Portra 400. I really like the hexagon shaped lens flares.
Yeah... the Lost Merman saw something he shouldn't have seen. The local Italian restaurant was using "mock crab" in their Granzievola a la Triestina pasta instead of the real deal.
Fottermi! Who knew a complaint to the chef would end up like this?
Uffa! Che ne so!

Oh, Lost Merman; will you ever find those like you?
Our Lost Merman was overjoyed when he discovered several of his kind in a Savannah, Georgia, fountain.
But, alas, these mermen turned out to be a bunch of stoned musicians, content with blowing their own horns all day.
Happy Fence Friday, Y'all! Have a great weekend, and may all your fishes come true.

Turned both of my Granado Davon into mermen :3
It's a pity there are no SD merman that couldn't pass for girls with a properly jointed and posable tail. I onyl want my two boys as mermen for the time being, so a sewed tail is perfectly fine for them ;)
Me and the family recently took a trip to Gatlinburg and visted Ripley's Believe it or not museum. The thing that got me the most excited was getting to see an authentic Fiji Merman. Ripley's museum is about the coolest place on earth.
