I just recently watched Caprica; after we picked this wine I saw the infinity symbol!

We had an excellent Merlot tonight from Humanitas.

Some of the latest Merlot to ripen. This fruit won't be harvested until mid-October.

The Libyan variant of the Fez or Tarboosh. They usually don't have a tassel, so this may not be authentic. I love the textures and colors.

Beef sliders braised in Merlot from Long Island, topped with gorgonzola, tomatoes, and frisee, all on turkish somun bread from Pain D'Auvignon.

I purchased this wine at our last stop of 6 on a winery tour at the Finger Lakes. Sadly, my judgement had been compromised by the first 5 wine tastings and biased by the wonderful people at the vineyard. In the harsh light of day, I found it obnoxious - and not in a good way. Bearable with a meal, but really not great.

I grouted tonight, but pictures later. The leaves were a grout nightmare. I do not recommend these for mosaics. My husband actually used the sonic toothbrush to clean them. The tiles also had a lot of areas that needed to be cleaned with a pin. Will show completed pictures on Wednesday.

Hey! Get that stinking cigarette out of here, I'm trying to enjoy my glass of wine!
