Mirai Suenaga, Haruka Suenaga and Kanata Hoshikawa are joined by Eiji Seiun, Retrokyu and our new character Kizuna Yumeno makes a couple of appearances too - all adorably illustrated by the same Japanese illustrator Ikkyuu-sensei.

My first train, but would you believe my third stop of the day? Hoping to tag an outbound empty tac train I first set up at Westmont, but then news came down that it was delayed so I went home for a bit. My second time out I went to Main St in Downers, only to get chased out by clouds. As it turned out Clarendon Hills was the place to be, sun here, clouds to the west, and just in time for this eastbound merchandise with a Cascade green blast from the past.

When opened in 1930, the Merchandise Mart, located in the Near North Side of Chicago, was the largest building in the world with 4,000,000 square feet of floor space. Previously owned by the Marshall Field family, the Mart centralized Chicago's wholesale goods business by consolidating vendors and trade under a single roof. Massive in its construction, and serving as a monument to early 20th century merchandising and architecture, the art deco landmark anchors the daytime skyline at the junction of the Chicago River branches.
With upper levels bathed in red and green colored lighting, the structure stands out against darker downtown buildings. The building continues to be a leading retailing and wholesale destination, hosting 20,000 visitors and tenants per day. The Merchandise Mart is so large that it has its own zip code (60654). The Wells Street bridge, seen here in front of the Mart, spans across the Chicago River.

The massive Merchandise Mart (1930, Graham, Anderson, Probst and White), viewed from a boat in the Chicago River, in Chicago, IL. This showplace for Chicago's wholesale vendors was once the largest building in the world, with 4 million square feet of floor space.
Built in 1931 it had the most floor space of any building in the world. The Pentagon took that honor in 1941 but the Merchandise Mart is still the largest commerical building in the world, 25 floors high and two city blocks long. It has 4 million square feet of floor space. The largest shopping mall in the US has about 2.5 million square feet. See it from ground level
