We are taking part in another year of the MerMay hunt! We celebrate all the mer in Secondlife by taking part in this special hunt. It is organized by the owner of the Veles fantasy sim by NotTheReal Novaland, owner of Amadeus (previously Dreamcatcher store). All you have to do is find the various hidden pearls from many of the designers taking part, including us.
This collection is great for filling out underwater spaces and adding light and colour to your environment. You can even use these pieces for background setups.
We have 14 pearls in all this year as seen in the prize key above. Each of our prizes are L$25 each.

i had wanted to make more villains a little while back when i finished maleficent. (: ursula was quite a challenge because it was SO HARD to remove all the shine. D: i don't like the shine on the new dolls ... but here she is now, repainted and shineless, haha. :D
i would have never thought that she would be as much fun to do. to make her look more evil and designer-like, i also added real lashes. i wanted her to look a lot more true to the movie, so her earrings are painted as well and i made her a new necklace from fimo. (:
she's been repainted using acrylics and pastels.
the character of ursula is owned by disney.
Oh the tails a mermaid could tell, but it's her tail, not your tail, so she's keeping them to herself.

My second contribution for the mermay.
A warrior mermaid with a sword. Done all in traditional mode.
Punk is an attitude & Brooke has plenty of it. Here she’s representing the Thames River mermaids of London that swim against the current. No clam shell bikinis, strings of pearls & lounging on rocks, these mermaids chill on wrecked cars under bridges, wear leopard print, studs & chains with buzz cut hair. Too cool to swim in your school.
It was March 2020, month after month, but suddenly time became unstuck and it was MerMay, 2021. This was itself a magical thing. But the cure?
The cure, when you went into the labs and ignored the false talk about microfluidics and mRNA and lipid envelopes and adjuvants and stuff, was mermaid tears, carefully collected and sealed in identical tiny bottles with lot numbers on the side.
They knew that people would eventually find out, so they made sure they were cruelty-free, sustainable mermaid tears. Making the mermaids watch all of the sad parts from Pixar movies was verboten.
I snuck into the lab to see one of them and I'd realized how it worked. The lab tech went to the side of the pool "You look like a lot like Brie Larson," he said. "With a touch of Jane Fonda, from the 1970s."

Of the two mermaids I met that day on the beach in mermay, this one tried to eat me fewer times, being mostly satisfied with offerings of cookies. The red haired one kept going straight for my throat.

As soon as they begin to communicate, the little merchildren are given swimming lessons by teenaged Merfolk, who, being closer to the little children’s age, know the best and quickest ways to get them to swim effectively!
Here, for the ‘Little’ theme for day 19 of #mermaydg2018 , we see a young mermaid giving swimming lessons to an even younger, little mermaid, while the two laugh and play!
It is a fact that there are countless creatures that live in the oceans, but we must remember that not all of them of are friendly to humans! So when people go exploring the depths of oceans, they often encounter beings that have malicious, or “wicked”, intentions.
So, for the ‘Wicked’ theme for day 13 , I have captured a moment where we see a Sea Witch lure an attractive and unsuspecting human towards her cavern.
First time...for the fun.
Second time...for the fashion.
Third time...is a charm? Maybe.
Third time was for the CRITTERS!!!!
Both sets of twins enjoyed their turns, now I get to see the wonder in Nyle's eyes. Am glad this is a month long event because it crosses THREE paydays.
Between work, moving into our new home, TWO MerMay Hunts, weekend sales, and gardening...did not think I would make it back a third time.
As soon as we arrived, I pointed out the FREE Ota.Con Music Box 2025! We already have one at home from my earlier visits, and I believe he recognized it!
Mermaids love to sing, and they especially love to be surprised by the way they sound outside of the ocean, so very often during the dark hours of the night, they come out of the water, seat themselves on a boulder or rock, and sing with their beautiful voices!
Here, for the ‘Sing’ theme for day 23 of #mermaydg2018, we see a mermaid so engrossed in singing that she doesn’t realize that the sun is rising, and that she has a mesmerized spectator watching her!

I made a Merman tail and took some photos, so I may spam you all with it.
Knowing that, every mermay, the mermaids would come closer to the boats, I paddled out in my canoe. What I hadn't anticipated was that she'd have a lantern in her hands to draw my attention... We've got a proper mermay mermaid shoot planned, because clearly having Charlotte pose in her mermaid outfit should not be... a fluke.
Lightpainting details: The blue waves are blue glowire, which I waved around. And then the light is actually the light coming from the fairy lights in the lantern. I took this before the other shot but hadn't gotten around to editing and posting this one yet.
