I'm always looking for mermaid locales. And this is a good spot. You have Grecian ruins, coral, and other things. So I came to hang out with my friends: a merpony, a sea dragon, a dolphin and Nemo.
l'm still working on my entry for the current Enchantment event : Siren's Song photo contest with "Siren's Song" as the theme. (limit 2). Deadline is December 2nd so still making mermaid photos and then I'll pick the best 2. First prize is 5000L so giving it my best shot. Mostly because it gives me a good excuse to take mermaid photos. I love being a mermaid.
Event is Nov 10-Dec 2. They have a gallery there along with mermaid stuff from a variety of vendors for sale. And a freebie hunt! I love hunts.

I was so thrilled when they invited me to the show--I've always wanted to capture a mermaid! I knew it'd be challenging, and I wanted to execute this image in a way that was both beautiful and menacing. Mystical and unknowable and alluring...
Vanessa was an incredible mermaid, and Cassie helped out assisting too! Such a dream to finally capture a mermaid, mwahahaha~
Phoebe's quiet spot was a deserted beach, where she could avoid the people telling her everything she was doing was wrong, and use the sound of the waves as white noise while she wrote her novels.
She read online somewhere that one should read their work aloud to make sure it sounded realistic, and she was practicing this one morning when the first curious mermaid showed up.
The mermaid was fascinated, and insisted she continue reading aloud. Since she was armed and had sharp teeth, Phoebe did.
They keep an eye out for her now, eager to hear new tales, and Phoebe goes to the library twice a week, looking for short story anthologies to read aloud.
Her novel is at a standstill, and she's not sure what will happen if she runs out of material.

According to mythology, Nereus was ruler of the Aegean sea and Father to the 50 Nereids.
I haven't sewn in ages so for MerMay I decided to make this merman. He started as a Dumbledore from Harry Potter doll, his tail and sleeves are all hand sewn by me, I made the trident/sceptre using bits in my junk box, the crown is a repainted Barbie crown with added jewel.
A Tale as old as the sea, a Pirate & a Mermaid forever shall they be. A true love that dwells deeper than the sea.
