Network Rail contractors at work in the small hours near Sittingbourne station. Heard the noise, saw the lights and, moth-like, I was drawn to investigate.
One of the subjects I wanted to photograph while being in the Philippines was the native domestic carabao. Lucky for me, the family farm still uses carabao. So when we visited it, Bonjing (the manager) was willing to get this beautiful animal and demonstrated how they still incorporate the animal in the otherwise modern agriculture.
Using the long telephoto lens at a low viewpoint, the sheer strength and size of the buffalo is accentuated. While it was an overcast day the whole scene is lit by soft light. Perfect conditions for the 2,8/70-200 from Nikon.

Captured at Galway City's train station undergoing renovation. Edited using Adobe Lightroom with a gently-applied posterisation effect in Photoshop.
