Meet Nova, she is a year-old Husky who is totally in love with her Dad. We were discussing my upcoming visit to the wolf sanctuary, not sure if she resented the conversational topic, or just didn’t like Dad paying attention to anything other than her. She is in training and her jealousy is harmless just endearingly exuberant.
Max was named after a Stuffed Schnauzer that was given to me about 20 years or so ago... I baby sat a lady's dog for her when needed and she was moving out of state so gave me a reminder of her little guy... This picture was created in MidJourney with a description of that little stuffed dog...

Зимой Истра практически не замерзает из-за большого обилия родников подпитывающих реку. Температура родников около +8С, поэтому то река и подогревается зимой. В сильные морозы река начинает парить, окутывая все вокруг пушистым инеем.
Это было довольно прохладное утро, всего -26 по Цельсию. Стоял очень плотный туман над рекой, пришлось ждать, когда поднимется солнце, чтобы хоть что-нибудь было видно. Я переживал за фототехнику, штатив покрылся инеем и работать с ним было очень тяжело. Что ж, это был довольно интересный опыт.
The trip here was spontaneous. Someone offered to meet the dawn on Istra and we supported everything, especially since the weather promised to be frosty. In winter, Istra practically does not freeze due to the large abundance of springs that feed the river. The temperature of the springs is about + 8C, so the river is heated in winter. In severe frosts, the river begins to soar, enveloping everything around with fluffy hoarfrost.
It was quite a cool morning, only -26 Celsius. There was a very dense fog over the river, we had to wait for the sun to rise in order to see at least anything. I was worried about photographic equipment, the tripod was covered with frost and it was very difficult to work with it. Well, it was quite an interesting experience.

Soo Line train 11 meets train 18 at Rugby, Wisconsin, late in the afternoon of July 26, 1987. Train 11 is led by Soo EMD SD40 No. 780, while a pair of EMD GP30s built in 1963 powers train 11.
These penetrating eyes belong to Circe, a Great Horned Owl that was photographed several years ago at the Howell Nature Center, in Howell, Michigan. Circe was kept as an illegal pet for the first several months of his life. As a result, he became very attached to people and lacked the ability to survive on his own, and thus became a resident at the Center beginning in 1987.
As an aside, one thing that I found interesting when researching this image is that Great Horned Owls can't move their eyes in their sockets. Instead, these birds can swivel their heads by more than 180 degrees to look in any direction.

This is the family's cat, she is old now, and isn't feeling well.
I was asked if I could deliver her to the vet and I was told they didn't want her to suffer.
She is really thin now and is vomiting, pour lil one.
So I'm taking photos of her while we were waiting in the vet's office and sending a snap to the family with the txt "Last goodbye".
And the owners was kind of "What?", so I had been misinterpreted the message, phew and been stirring up lots of feelings.....

Before I add a few words referring to this shot I must add that comments are supposed to be off as possibly till Sunday I simply cannot comment because it is too slow using mobile data. I think I may know why although comments off IS the default setting that I can see I have done it using mobile data and maybe the alterations don’t stick - if you know what I mean. Well yesterday I went to a woodland I know usually has Fungi in plenty to find many trees and paths had been cleared and although this meant lots more light it also meant lots less Fungi. However we found some but unfortunately I had left the strong spectacles I need for this type of shot we’re left in the caravan doh..I did use a tripod but simply could not see well enough. I deliberately stopped down a bit so it was a good job I had a remote release in my pocket and to sort of soften the bokeh bought the shadows right down using Snapseed on my iPad as it’s the only editing app I use as its quick and easy.
Thank you so much for your encouraging faves but please don’t comment till I can comment back and leave comments too as I feel so awkward about not being able or rather too slow as Flickr is a big program and very slow to access comment boxes…

An adorable couple who live in a charming cottage deep in the woods with plenty of room for guests in the boarded up tower.
But sadly for them they are running short of guests as they so much enjoy having them ... for dinner.

On top of Mt Pirongia NZ, on the Hihikiwi boardwalk. This path if an elevated plank boardwalk set above the forest floor to protect the native forest, it is quite high & narrow with no sides so its' a best not to fall off while walking along with a pack on your back.
This is one of the Monrepos squirrels, a male. I call im Shorty, not because he is particularly small, he isn't smaller than other squirrels, but because he has a very short tail (see photo in the comments). Shorty was born with a normal tail but when I saw him in November his tail was full of mites. About two week later he had lost part of his tail. He copes well, seems to be happy and healthy now and is always one of the first to show up and look for food.
If it weren't for his eyes, Mr. Met would be the creepiest baseball mascot in the Major Leagues. But I think he has kind eyes. This is an original Mr. Met bobblehead that my son had to have many years ago. Now, it's mine!
