For some reason, my pictures get numbered backwards when they are downloaded, so this is the most recent of this group. For several days I had to chop ice so the cattle could drink, and this was the last day before a warm spell. You will note that the ice was about four inches thick that day.

Isabelle (Bell, as she was known) is on the left, Sofia in the center, and Charles, right rear. They were the children of James E. Maynard and Mary Revenia Frost Maynard of Burlingame, Kansas.
Charles was born December 14, 1875, Isabel on August 11, 1880, and Sofia on December 28, 1884.
This picture is from a tintype in very poor condition.

Associated with Daisy Greville and Easton Lodge is Easton Lodge Gardens, or the 'Gardens of Easton Lodge', the remains of a 1947 demolished house with estate at Little Easton, Essex, England. The gardens are conserved by The Gardens of Easton Lodge Preservation Trust, and are open a few days each season, plus special events days.
Easton Lodge was built by Henry Maynard in 1597. A later-built Victorian Easton Lodge, with gardens designed by Harold Peto, was occupied by Daisy Greville, the Countess of Warwick, a champagne socialist, socialite, serial adulteress, and lover of the Prince of Wales. Daisy is described by Jonathan Meades as "the champagne socialist and horizontal socialite". She held soirees in Easton Lodge Garden, entertaining her select 'Warwick Circle' of fellow upper class and privileged socialist political and literary friends.

Am 23. August 2006 verstarb Maynard Fergsuon im alter von 78 Jahre. Ich widme ihn einen Platz auf meiner Fotoseite da er sehr viel für den Jazz geleistet hat und er einer der besten Trompeter der Welt war. In der himmlischen Bigband wird wohl die Lead-Trompete lange besetzt sein
