Charles Maynard was the husband of Catherine Labar Maynard. He lived in Troy, Doniphan County, Kansas. He followed his brother, James B. Maynard from Tioga County, Pennsylvania.
He is the great grandfather of Minnie and Bertha Kelsay.

From the Clock Tower Place website: Clock Tower Place is the most recent rebirth of the historic mill property that was the setting of important developments in the industrial and information ages. In 1847 Amory Maynard purchased water rights to a stretch of the Assabet River and deeds to adjacent land, in partnership with William Knight. The two set about building a woolen mill and began manufacturing carpets and carpet yarn.
Built in 1892, the handsome Maynard Building is named for David Maynard, one of Seattle’s founders. It features distinctive pressed brick and sandstone cladding. Its arched entrance has intricately carved capitals.
