Took a stroll around Maynard at lunchtime and found several stores that I hadn't noticed before. This one, which bills itself as "earth-friendly," was certainly human-friendly and colorful to boot!

Emma was the sister of James E. Maynard, and daughter of Charles Maynard and Catherine Ann Labar.
Charles and Catherine were married in Tioga County, Penn. before joining James A. Maynard, Charle's brother, in the town of Troy, Kansas. Troy is now in Doniphan County, but was then part of the Kansas Territory.
Charles, and James came to America in the 1830's with their father, Edward C. Maynard, an Oxford-trained lawyer from Adderbury, England.

Maynerd Yingst retouched by Tony Deseta, there were blemmishes on mt negs and Tony cleared them away.
According to the Maynard website, this clock was installed in 1892, and "the original mechanical clockworks and bell mechanism are still in place. Once a week someone climbs the 124 steps up the tower to wind the clock: 90 turns for the timepiece and 330 turns for the bell striker."
These mini cupcakes are part of an order I received from Cadburys. They also own Maynards who produce sweets including Liquorice Allsorts, Jelly Babies & Wine Gums. I had to present them in a cool & fun manner so I chose the bright coloured icing to complement the colours in the sweets.
