Day 4 with Max at home. Caught him doing the bobblehead thing while he was chillin on the couch.
So far he sure is a cool dog, albeit very calm and calculated. Certainly seems to be soaking in the environment before making any drastic moves!

Max Herre mit seiner Mischung aus Folk und Soul begeisterte das Publikum. Mit im Gepäck hatte er nebst den Songs von seinem aktuellen Album, Ein geschenkter Tag, natuerlich auch einge Klassiker aus den Zeiten von Freundeskreis.
Max was well enough to come with me to visit Mum in Gloucester- the first time he has visited her in the Nursing Home and the first time he has seen her since her 90th birthday in July 2009. Mum's joy is apparent - I've missed you so much, she said to him.
What makes these photos poignant for me is that they demonstrate how easily they get on with each other - there has always been a special relationship between them - and I think it shows - it seems that Max doesn't look at Mum in the way that the rest of us do, he sees things from her viewpoint. I envy him this, but as he said to me, he has not seen his grandmother from my viewpoint. He is a wise young man.

this was one of those days where people don't quite know how to react to the weather, and you see people in T-shirts as well as in winter coats with scarf and gloves. I thought it was nice but then, I had been throwing a frisbee around in the park, so .....

(running takeoff, crash as soon as you stop!) Max had a blast chasing after us as we flew the kites... Then Max, Maw Maw Bug, and I went down to the water behind the levee (Plaquemine, Louisiana) for awhile..
