Max and Heather
Max was well enough to come with me to visit Mum in Gloucester- the first time he has visited her in the Nursing Home and the first time he has seen her since her 90th birthday in July 2009. Mum's joy is apparent - I've missed you so much, she said to him.
What makes these photos poignant for me is that they demonstrate how easily they get on with each other - there has always been a special relationship between them - and I think it shows - it seems that Max doesn't look at Mum in the way that the rest of us do, he sees things from her viewpoint. I envy him this, but as he said to me, he has not seen his grandmother from my viewpoint. He is a wise young man.
