Max was trying to stay close to my mom. My mom was taking a shower. The closest he could get was to sit in front of the bathroom door.
This is my friend Max, he was kind enough to participate in this project I called my garden. The idea was to do interesting portraits of all the interesting people in my life. Max is certainly interesting. He showed up in a kilt, I mean, of course he did! Here we are in the middle of a stone labyrinth and he is gathering his chi for some more photo adventures. This was a fun day spent with one of my favorite artists.
This was shot in RAW and processed on Linux using Darktable.
Max went to his forever home on 4 Feb. A lovely couple with a farm near Oxford took him in, and he will be very well cared for there!

Max is one of Kit Kat's kittens. As such, he’s probably less than 2 years old. Sociable and a little chatty. His long coat will need some attention, but not too much: he seems to have avoided the burrs that are in the other long-haired cats' coats. He was neutered 26 April 11 (note the docked ear). He has his front claws.
Full disclosure, he has gone outside the litterbox in the past. However, my sister was not the best at keeping hers clean: she had too few and scooped too rarely, expecting them to go outside. The cats didn’t always get the memo. It’s possible any of these cats went outside the box, but I can’t say I blame them! Poor Max is just the one who was caught.
The problem has gone down dramatically since we put in more boxes and got the house on a regular scooping schedule. Yes, you might want to be careful about Max’s litter habits at first, but I’d be careful about any new cat or kitten in my house. Make sure he’s got a lot of clean, deep litter in a kitty-friendly area, and I bet he will reward you with doing what comes naturally to cats.
He's magnificent in person, with a lion-like mane and almost regal gait. I think he’s worth the risk and a little retraining.

We will ask the adopter to sign a simple contract before finalizing just to ensure these cats are getting the same or better home than what they have now.

This is my Uncle Max's bio on playbill.com. It's short so it leaves off a few details such as being the inventor of supersizing, creating the concept of bundling, inventing the value meal, coming up with the order by number system, becoming one of McDonald's largest franchisees, being a huge supporter of further education for his employees (amongst many other impressive accomplishments.) I think it's time for me to create a wikipedia page on him. Since I was very young I've been extremely inspired by his humbleness and generosity, not to mention accomplishments.
Max Patch Mountain is a beautiful bald mountain on the North Carolina/Tennessee border just outside GSMNP. We had high hopes for Sunset shots here, but we took a little long at midnight hole, making us arrive here right at dusk. This is the best I could do with the low light, but the blues really came out well I thought. This is definitely a great place to hike.
