We went to Stillwater to get away from the twin cities, tons of fun. Tried the River Oasis Diner, tried some new experimental burgers that haven't even been added to the menu yet.

These two were tough customers...just happy I got this shot...setting up lighting on the fly and chasing them around trying to get them both to smile was challenging...time to go crack a beer and relax...I am beat!
Max Yamabiko Shinkansen leaving Utsunomiya Station to Tokyo.
(Shinkansen is how commonly bullet trains are known but it really means "new trunk line". "Max" due to double deck.)
Our friends' dogs, a Neapolitan and Bull Mastiff, were romping the other day while we were in the backyard and I gleefully exaggerated their impressive heights further with the superwide. I'm sure the novelty will eventually subside...
Max (the Bull mastiff here) was very suspicious of the camera when I held it down low for these and got pretty wound up about it. He's a big sweetheart though, and very easy to scratch (his head's even with my stomach, such a big dog!).

Description: Michael Max Munk served as the NACA's Chief of Aerodynamics at what is now Langley Research Center. During his time at the NACA, Munk made a number of contributions to the field of aerodynamics, the most notable of them being his thin airfoil theory.
Originally German, Munk was brought over to the United States and authorized to work at the NACA in 1920 by President Woodrow Wilson after World War I.
