A portrait of Max looking bored and calm, and lying in the grass.

You might think it looks suspiciously head-free, and watery. I couldn't possibly commen... oh, perhaps I could, it's rubbish.

Max has been busy... :P

Just kidding. We had a dead tree in our yard cut down last week (victim of the drought...at least it was only one). The leftovers reminded me of what could be Max's handiwork. ;)

Died 8 September 1953, aged 43 years.

Max is (probably) a Husky cross Collie, he's been at the rescue for several months now. He is an adorable lad who really loves human company. He is pretty good with dogs and during his time at the rescue we've walked him with several other dogs.

Unfortunately Max is a little bit nervous due to a lack of confidence and living in a rescue center isn't really helping matters. He shows the symptoms of stress typical of Husky type dogs stuck in rescue centres. Max needs much more human interaction, physical and mental exercise than the rescue can really provide him which causes him to be come stressed and frustrated. Some of the symptoms of this are destroying things like fabrics, guarding toys a bit and being over-excited when he gets out of the kennel making him a handful onlead.

Of course, if he were to get a quiet home where he would be given a good wedge of structured exercise and training, his confidence would build and all his stress would melt away allowing him to become the soppy fun loving dog he really is. Adam (canine behaviourist www.K999.biz)

Feb 1993 E29C Burke Street

6x9 pinhole image made with this camera
