The daughter dropped out of Math B this year and took another math class. But she hated Math B so much that she asked if she could burn her notes. Of course, Todd obliged.
Voilà, le premier jour: que du blabla, et comme on ne sait plus comment nous occuper: un ptit test de maths. Je serai dans celui des moins forts, je me souvenais plus comment résoudre cette équation débile. (le pire c'est qu'en licence, niveau maths, on a fait pire).Demain c'est test d'allemand mais vu que je ne sais pas le parler: pas besoin d'y aller, je serai direct chez les débutants avec dominante anglais, heureusement. (Je crois que j'ai mes chances pour finir première en promo d'anglais, ahah).

Mental Math – Making Your Child an Excelling Intellect in a Competitive World.
Mental math is the ability to do mathematical calculations exclusively in one’s mind. With this ability, your child is able to do day-to-day computations in their head without ever needing a pencil, paper, calculator or any other form of help. Using various arithmetic techniques and practicing them in the mental space, your child is able to perform calculations within seconds that even adults would need much more time for.
However, developing these skills in a child requires serious efforts. At Tinker Thinkers, we train children to do such calculations using visual learning. We do this by using an ingenious invention called a Soroban.

Math methods, taught in the Spring of 2007 by Dr. Feller (aka "Doc") covered complex variables, Fourier analysis, and probability and statistics.
For the Alabama Statewide Mathematics Competition held in February: ASMS won first place in District VII, Division One! Due to spring break and timing of the competition, we only had two participate instead of a usual team of FOUR. However, just these two students' scores allowed us to score 8th place in the State for Division One.

The Math Library has six computers. Five are “full set of application” computers that patrons log into, just like in the computer labs on campus. The Math Library also has one “selected resources” computer that just goes to library resources, so no login is necessary. Wireless Internet access is also available.
