I was doing Math homework
My books sat idly on my desk beside my calculator and I got bored.. So, yeah XD
I know...we're geeks. There were 3 pies because we were celebrating 3 birthdays, and all 3 birthdays were for math coaches. :)

It was real sweaty in that garage and my lens kept fogging up!
We learned the 3D shapes song and completed this worksheet, then Ibrahim identified 3D shapes around the house - cylinder can, sphere ball, ice cream cone, rectangular prism books, etc.
In math workshop, students are learning there are multiple tools, or strategies, one can use to solve problems. The children know we can solve math questions through sketching, acting out the problem, or using objects (like blocks) to represent ideas. One strategy is not privileged above the others; we encourage each child to use the tool(s) that works best for him/her. This is problem solving through sketching.
