"Stocktaking allows you to keep an accurate track of the physical stock you have, what’s been sold, and what hasn’t. It’s all about comparing the physical stock to what the report says then finding any discrepancies. Calculating wastage and allowances will then give you the whole picture as to what’s gone through the till, what’s been wasted, and what has been given away as complimentary."

Solving linear systems using multiple representations including tabular, graphical, symbolic, and sentence. For the purposes of this example the graphing calculator was used both for the graphical and tabular method as an essential tool.
Before he started playing, the drummer took like half a roll of duct tape and taped his headphones to his head. It was awesome.

FOUND MATH: Two views of the new Performing Arts Center, currently under construction in Kansas City. According to Roger Nelsen (Lewis & Clark College), the building "appears to be a solid of revolution whose volume can be found by integral calculus using the 'disk method.'"
This building is adjacent to the Kansas City Convention Center, where the AP calculus exams are graded. Nelsen wrote in an email, "Many of us commented on the resemblance of the new building to pictures in calculus texts illustrating the disk method for computing volumes of solids of revolution."

Mostly smooth motion with all six degrees of freedom working together. The calibration isn't great, but the math appears to be correct.
I am not sure exactly how I am going to run Math Daily 5/Centers/Guided Math Groups this year. I did, however, want to get organized, so I purchased these awesome bins from Walmart. They have grooves on the top, and are meant to stack. I have placed more commonly used items/game materials on the counter. I have chosen not to label them, because you can see through them pretty well.
RAMAKRISHNA MATH
Bull Temple Road, Basavanagudi, Bangalore.
Motto: "Atmano mokshartham jagad hitaya cha" - For one's own salvation, and for the welfare of the world.
THE BACKGROUND:
Ramakrishna math is a religio-cultural organization. It lays emphasis on the dissemination of spiritual and cultural ideals. This organization is rooted firmly in the ancient monastic principles of chastity and renunciation. It embraces the whole gamut of religio-spiritual values like oneness of Truth, Divinity of man, and Harmony of Religions.
THE ORIGIN:
A few honorable citizens of Bangalore who were inspired by the message of Sri Ramakrishna and the call of Swami Vivekananda established a Vedanta Society in 1901. They requested Swami Ramakrishnananda who was at Madras, to establish a permanent centre of Ramakrishna Order in Bangalore. On their request Ramakrishna math, Bangalore came into existence in 1904 in a rented building. In 1909, the monastery was shifted to its own premises which was gifted to the centre by the government of Mysore. Swami Brahmananda, the then president of the Ramakrishna Order, inaugurated the math building in January 1909.
THE HOLY TOUCH:
Sri Ramakrishna temple in the Math has become a source of inspiration for devotees. This temple contains the holy relics of Sri Ramakrishna. The relics and the daily congregation of devotees make this place vibrant with divinity.
This Math was sanctified by Sri Sarada Devi. She stayed here for three days in March, 1911. She also sanctified the little hillock at the back of the Math building by sitting there in meditation.
Another valuable possession the Math has, is the stone bench which was used by Swami Vivekananda when he came to Bangalore in 1892.
SHRINE AND PRAYER HALL:
The activities of this Math centre round the shrine where daily worship of Sri Ramakrishan is conducted. The evening Arati is accompanied by Bhajans. This provides the devotees with the atmosphere necessary for their spiritual growth.
At Casey Elementary School on Camp Casey Jan. 14, students and parents take part in the school's second annual Math Madness workshop, which aimed to build math proficiency by using games and other activities to make the subject enjoyable for youngsters. In one of those activities, for example, competing groups had to use 20 strands of uncooked spaghetti and about a yard of masking tape to create the tallest possible structure that would support a marshmallow for at least 30 seconds without collapsing. - U.S. Army photo by Pfc.
