Masters store located on the corner of North Lake Road and Phoenix Road - one of nine stores in Western Australia for the Woolworths-Lowes (USA) joint venture in hardware. Opened in mid 2012 it was located in a cutting partially obscured from the road opposite Adventure World theme park. Heavy losses against incumbent rival Bunnings in part due to an aggressive expansion (often next to Bunnings stores such as this one) and low sales have seen Woolworths abandon the category altogether and announce closure of the chain by early December 2016 with a liquidation sale starting August of the year. These shots were taken early in the closing down sale.
The stores (including several development sites) have been sold to Home Consortium who will reconfigure the sites to a combination of Spotlight, Anaconda, JB Hi Fi, The Good Guys and Woolworths supermarkets. Rival Bunnings will take over 15 of the 61 stores open. Liquidation is being carried out by the Great American Group with evidence seen in the large 'STORE CLOSING' and 'GOING OUT OF BUSINESS' signs more commonly seen in the closing of large stores in the United States.

Master Qu is the schools Northern Praying Mantis Boxing and Baguazhang Master. The styles of Nothern Praying Mantis and Bagua that Master Qu teaches is primarily Taichi Mantis and Yin Style Bagua. Master Qu specializez in Bagua sword, staff, spear and qigong. As well as TCM, Tui'na and Accupunture.
In 2003 he won the outstanding award at the Yantai Mantis Championship. In 2006 he was awarded another outstanding award at the Beijing Traditional Martial Arts competition for Bagua Palm. In 2007 he took a first at the Yantai Mantis Championship. In 2007, 2008 and 2009 at the International Traditional Martial Arts Competition held in Yantai he was awarded first in Zhai Yao Mantis and Luan Jie Mantis fists. Finally in 2010 at the Yantai International Martial Arts competition he got two more firsts for Bai Yuan Mantis and Tou Tao Mantis Fist.

Opened in February 2013, Masters is the big box hardware competitor to Bunnings. These photos were taken a week or so after the store's opening. It is located on Princes Highway, in the corner of the former GMH manufacturing plant.
