This mask was purchased in New Orleans in the spring of 2009. It was made by Teonova, and is a molded leather mask.

Everyone needs a mask

Two of the common masks we wear. The mask in the foreground is a miniature of a Venetian Carnivale mask. The other mask is the contents of my makeup box.

Taken with a humble point and shoot on macro mode. Feel like I've cheated. Would have loved to do this old school with my SLR but I didn't have enough time to develop film and scan photo. Can't wait until I get my hands on a DSLR.

This Mask lives in the 16eme Arrondissement in Paris.

This is a creepy theatrical mask unearthed during excavations on the site.

my friend Jon got bored one night and created the cityscape in masking tape... he thought it needed something a little extra, so he added the UFOs and abductees. :)

(The kind proprietor of one of the first shops on the left side of the street convinced me to try on various traditional hats & masks.)

as with many of these things there were several overlapping protests taking place. some sensible. some on the outer reaches.

as the SWP were not in evidence this does not count as a proper demo.

it also shows that i am not, and probably will never be, a street photographer.
