This impressive waterfall drops 35 feet in three separate tiers, with the two lower tiers pictured here. I loved the turquoise-blue colored water here at St. Mary Falls. There are three main waterfalls in this area of St. Mary Lake, with each waterfall you encounter becoming progressively more impressive. This is the second of the three waterfalls in the series.
Nothing too crazy with the post-processing here, just a bit of luminosity masking, exposure blending for water movement, and some dodging/burning. One of my favorite images from the trip.

I have had wonderful care here, and we enjoyed al the nurses, some of whom might have thought we were a bit weird, but I think they enjoyed us, too. :-)
A young girl runs down the spiral ramp of Rundetaarn (Round Tower) the 17th-century tower located in central Copenhagen, the oldest functioning astronomy observatory in Europe. The spiral is 209 meters long and winds itself 7.5 times round the hollow core of the 35 meter high tower. Along the wall of the inner core the corridor is only 85.5 m long but has a grade of 33%!
Yet, when Tsar Peter the Great of Russia visited Copenhagen in 1716, he rode up on horseback. In 1902, a German tourist who visited Copenhagen with his new Benz Gaggenau drive up and down the steep and winding spiral passageway. In 1920 the journalist Eric Boesgaard repeated the feat in a Ford. The best though is the unicycle race organized every spring, during which participants must ride all the way up and down the spiral without any “faults”. The “world” record is 1 minute 48.7 seconds, set by Thomas Olsen in 1989.
This building, also on the Krakow Market Square, is more-or-less contemporaneous with the Cloth Hall of the previous photo, and like it has evolved in form over the centuries. The church dates to the thirteenth century and was basically destroyed along with the rest of Krakow by a Mongol invasion in 1241 (as were Wroclaw, Lublin and Sandomierz, three other cities we visited).
The church was rebuilt in gothic style. It has two towers of uneven height, the taller of which acted as a watchtower. Tradition holds that a guard on the tower played a trumpet to warn of the approach of the Mongols, but was cut off mid-song by an arrow to the throat. Today a trumpet is still played hourly from the tower to commemorate the event, and like the original, it stops abruptly mid-performance.
Many chapels and other elements were added to the church over the centuries. The alterpiece dates to the 15th century and some of the stained glass to the 14th. Much of the colorful interior design you see here is quite new, from the 19th century. And the work continues.... Much of the exterior was covered in scaffolds when we were there, so I didn't bother with exterior photos. St. Mary's Basilica, Krakow.
Quick trip down to St Mary's for Sunset tonight, was hoping for loads of pastel colours, but it just never fired up, still like this one though
Mary Poppins is heading to the Banks house. Much work needs to be done with that family.

Pietro Belluschi, Angus McSweeney, Paul A. Ryan, John Michael Lee, Pier Luigi Nervi, architects and engineers, 1971
There is a long and interesting story about the development of this project which I can recommend, found in the book on the religious architecture of Belluschi titled, 'Spiritual Space' by Meredith L. Clausen (1992). One also learns about the influence of his MIT colleague Eduardo Catalano, who, at the time, was doing a lot of research about structures with 'warped surfaces'.
We spent an amazing four days exploring and camping in the Lake O’Hara region with my little family and some friends. The area is restricted via a lottery style booking system to minimise impact. Having spent two decades exploring over six continents it is rare to see such accessible pristine wilderness. If you ever get the chance to visit the area take it. We hiked as hard as we could including a couple of night hikes given the time restrictions in the area. This shot was taken looking across Mary Lake at 2043m (6704 ft) to Cathedral Mountain at 3,189m (10462 ft). Love Life, Love Photography
Ganz wunderbar.

Mary Doll is the figurehead of the SV Glenlee. She is a steel-hulled three-masted barque, built in 1896 for Glasgow owners, trading as a cargo ship. From 1922 she was a sail training ship in the Spanish Navy. She is now a museum ship at the Riverside Museum in Glasgow.
El verde es la luz de la hoja;
¿De qué hierba iluminada habré fumado?
Yo no estoy bajo el efecto de la marihuana;
I consider this influenced by Michelangelo's Pieta, with Mary taking down Jesus from the Crucifixion. Beautiful artwork in St. Joseph's Cathedral, San Antonio, Texas

The church of St Mary Magdalene, viewed from Castle Walk in Bridgnorth, Shropshire, England.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The parish of St Mary Magdalene with St Leonard serves the town of Bridgnorth.The Church of St Mary Magdalene was built on the site of the original church in 1792 and was designed by Thomas Telford and consecrated in 1796. It is a Grade 11 listed building; and the church is unusual insofar as it is oriented north south.
A Father Willis organ was installed in 2008 is used for Sunday worship and strengthens St Mary’s long tradition for musical and choral excellence. We have a robed adult choir and a large and dedicated group of young choristers. The church is host to many musical events and concerts throughout the year.
