An early morning walk along the the Norfolk coast near Horsey. Grey and common seals populate the shoreline; and whilst a little early in the season for the pups it's nonetheless a sensitive time as they prepare for the challenging months ahead.

We went camping in Ocotillo Wells Friday night out in the desert and played with some long exposures. It's always fun on a summer night to set up a tripod and use something like a cell phone or iPod to do some image writing.
This one my son Nathaniel did with his iPod Touch by walking around shining it on the ground, less than a foot off the ground.

Henry Eckford (1823–1905), a nurseryman of Scottish descent, cross-bred and developed the sweet pea, turning it from a rather insignificant, if sweetly scented flower, into the floral sensation of the late Victorian era.
His initial success and recognition came while serving as head gardener for the Earl of Radnor, raising new cultivars of pelargoniums and dahlias. In 1870 he went to work for one Dr. Sankey of Sandywell near Gloucester. A member of the Royal Horticultural Society, he was awarded a First Class Certificate (the top award) in 1882 for introducing the sweet pea cultivar 'Bronze Prince', marking the start of association with the flower. In 1888 he set up his development and trial fields for sweet peas in Wem in Shropshire. By 1901, he had introduced a total of 115 cultivars, out 264 cultivars grown at the time.[2] Eckford was presented with the RHS Victoria Medal of Honour for his work. He died in 1906 but his work was continued, for a time at least, by his son John Eckford.
More recently, the association between the sweet pea, the Eckfords and Wem has been highlighted again. In the late 1980s, the Sweet Pea Society of Wem started an annual show and the town has again taken the flower to its heart. Many of the street signs now carry a sweet pea motif and an area of the town is known as Eckford Park. There is also a cultivar 'Dorothy Eckford', named after a family member.
I see there was a bear through here very recently, they high mark trees to help establish territories
All cats love the warmth of the sun. She had been scent marking by arching her back and rubbing back & shoulders on the leaves. She also raised her tail & sprayed her scent. This was the moment she paused and raised her head to the sun. There were no birds or squirrels overhead that I could see at that time.

Marking the first visit to Manchester of Emirates updated livery on the Airbus A380.
First flown in Feb-15 with the Airbus test registration F-WWSU, the aircraft was ferried to the Airbus factory airfield at Hamburg-Finkenwerder for painting and interior fitting out.
It was delivered to Emirates as A6-EOK in Jul-15. The aircraft was withdrawn from service and stored at Dubai-World Central in Mar-20 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
It was stored at Dubai-World Central for over two years and returned to Dubai-International in May-22. After further storage and maintenance it returned to service in Aug-22. Current.
There was once a hedgerow running between the line of Oak trees.

An impressive number of mission markings applied to the nose of F-16CJ Fighting Falcon 96-0083 which is assigned to the 480th Fighter Squadron based at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany.
