The aircraft was also adopted by more than thirty other air forces around the world with the last of them leaving the Rhodesian Air Force in the early 1980s.

The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) was one of the largest users of the Vampire with nearly 200 aircraft being built in Australia by de Havilland's Australian branch, The two seat T.35s were delivered between 1952 and 1954. They served in the RAAF until their retirement in 1970.

Skógafoss (pronounced [ˈskouː(ɣ)aˌfɔsː] (listen)) is a waterfall on the Skógá River in the south of Iceland at the cliff marking the former coastline. After the coastline had receded (it is now at a distance of about 5 kilometres (3 miles) from Skógar), the former sea cliffs remained, parallel to the coast over hundreds of kilometres, creating together with some mountains a clear border between the coastal lowlands and the Highlands of Iceland.

The Skógafoss is one of the biggest waterfalls in the country, with a width of 25 metres (82 feet) and a drop of 60 m (200 ft). Due to the amount of spray the waterfall consistently produces, a single or double rainbow is normally visible on sunny days. Visitors can be drenched if they go too near the waterfall, again due to the spray.[1] According to legend, the first Viking settler in the area, Þrasi Þórólfsson, buried a treasure in a cave behind the waterfall. The legend continues that locals found the chest years later, but were only able to grasp the ring on the side of the chest before it disappeared again. The ring was allegedly given to the local church. The old church door ring is now in the Skógar museum.

At the eastern side of the waterfall, a hiking and trekking trail leads up to the pass Fimmvörðuháls between the glaciers Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull. It goes down to Þórsmörk on the other side and continues as the Laugavegur trail to Landmannalaugar. A 430-step staircase leads up the slope to the top of the waterfall.

The T-45 Goshawk is a highly modified version of the BAE Hawk land-based training jet aircraft. Manufactured by McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) and British Aerospace (now BAE Systems), the T-45 is used by the United States Navy as an aircraft carrier-capable trainer.

The T-45's A and C models are currently in operational use. The T-45A, which became operational in 1991, contains an analog cockpit design while the newer T-45C, which was first delivered in December 1997, features a new digital "glass cockpit" design. All T-45A aircraft will eventually be converted to a T-45C configuration under the T-45 Required Avionics Modernization Program (T-45 RAMP).

T-45A

Two-seat basic and advanced jet trainer for the US Navy.

T-45B

Proposed land-based version for the US Navy, which would have been basically a conventional Hawk with a USN cockpit and no carrier capability. The USN had wanted the T-45B to get an earlier training capability, but abandoned the idea in 1984 in favor of less-costly updates to the TA-4 and T-2.

T-45C

Improved T-45A with glass cockpit, inertial navigation, and other improvements. Existing T-45As are being upgraded to the T-45C standard.

SIKORSKY HO3S-1G DRAGONFLY SERIAL NUMBER 232 N4925E

Current Markings: United States Coast Guard, Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans, Louisiana, 1956.

The Sikorsky H-5 Dragonfly was the second helicopter to go into full production for the U.S. military. The H-5 prototype, initially designated R-5 by the U.S. Army Air Forces, first flew in August 1943. When the US Air Force became an independent military branch in 1948 the designation letter for helicopters was changed from 'R' to 'H' and the Dragonflies were redesignated H-S. The Dragonfly was also adopted by the U.S Navy and the Coast Guard under the designation HO3S. In 1946, under the Navy designation HO3S-1G, the Dragonfly became the second helicopter to enter Coast Guard service. They were used to develop helicopter techniques and equipment in air-sea rescue operations. The success of the Dragonfly led to the expanded use of helicopters for air-sea rescue by the Coast Guard that we see today. A total of nine Dragonflies served the Coast Guard from 1946 to 1959.

This Dragonfly was constructed by Sikorsky Aircraft, Bridgeport, Connecticut and delivered to the U.S. Coast Guard on September 20, 1946. During its service with the Coast Guard it was stationed at Coast Guard Air Stations in Brooklyn, New York; Elizabeth City, North Carolina; Traverse City, Michigan; St. Petersburg, Florida; and New Orleans, Louisiana. From July 1955 through February 1956 it underwent repairs after a crash due to an in-flight engine failure. From May 1958 through August 1958 it was deployed on the icebreaker USCGC Northwind in the Bearing Sea. It was retired into storage in May 1959 and subsequently sold as surplus. It was owned by various private entities until 1985 when it was reacquired by the United States Coast Guard for preservation.
