Surrey Street Market on Croydon towards the end of a Saturday - nice to see hustle and bustle and people using small traders, it always has a great feel down here.
More images from the Market Hall in Rotterdam.
The unique €175m Markthal building was designed by Dutch architectural firm MVRDV and has helped put Rotterdam firmly on the world map. Made up of a large 40m high archway, it offers a covered market area the size of a large football pitch with around 100 food stalls and 20 shops and restaurants. Each end is sealed by a glass façade to keep out the weather. The building is 70m wide and 120m long and contains no less than 228 apartments. Each has an outside terrace whilst half of the apartments also have triple-glazed windows overlooking the market.
Perhaps the most striking aspect of the Markthal is the huge psychedelic artwork on the inner wall featuring colourful fruits, grains and vegetables. Called the Horn of Plenty, it was conceived by Arno Coenen and Iris Roskam and is made up of 4,000 separate tiles covering 11,000 m². It is thought to be the biggest artwork in the world.
Also the windows in the roof are apartments so people also live within the complex.
The Market Street Bridge is a stone arch bridge built in 1928 that spans the Susquehanna River between Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Wormleysburg, Pennsylvania. The current structure is the third bridge built at its current location and is the second oldest remaining bridge in Harrisburg.

i've created a group www.flickr.com/groups/cooking_is_my_hobby/ to gather ideas and encourage myself to continue with healthy eating by learning from others if you're interested in cooking, sometimes or a lot, or enjoy the cooking of others, you're always welcome ...
At the Pike Market - Fish Market this was the highlight of the trek. This awful fish with mouth wide open and teeth shining was somehow attached to a string that the staff would occasionally pull to make the fish move. The unsuspecting tourist, usually a kid, would then be startled by the fish's movement and everyone got a good laugh out of it. This place was a show in itself. The orders for fish were taken by a couple of guys in front of the counter and they would then pick up the fish and throw them to the back to be packaged and either taken by the customer of shipped back home packed in dry ice. Smelly but fun.

As night falls, the predators come out to feed! Some people watching shots around the food stalls of the festive market after dark.
A shot from the time when the flea market was organised on the main square in Krakow. This trader was worried about lack of customers.
