The Great Market Hall or Central Market Hall (Hungarian "Nagycsarnok") is the largest and oldest indoor market in Budapest, Hungary. The idea of building such large market hall arose from the first mayor of Budapest,Károly Kamermayer, and it was his largest investment. He retired in 1896 so when the building was completed, he participated in the opening ceremony as a citizen.
In Berlin, Germany I passed a street market that was terminating. These are the wooden beams from which the market stalls were constructed.
Last of the village market days now that winter has arrived. . . which means neighbors don't see each other as often except to wave in passing cars or pickup trucks. . .
This market dates back 1321, set in Roman London.

Managed to get this shot early in the morning before the market opened.
I was surprised this shot of the interior of the Sha Tin wet market turned out. Serving the residents of the high rise flats, this was a bustling hive of activity. Every stall was lit by a bazzillion bulbs all pointing inwards. This one might have been at one of the butcher stalls.
To those who have expressed worry for my wellbeing, these pictures were taken naclk in 2018, well before the current protest situation.

Worcester mid-week market stalls in front of the newly vamped shopping centre entrance and building, freshly painted. We just need the shops to be filled again and we will have something more for visitors to see.
Tuesday is the day for the weekly market in our village. It's a wonderful market which sells just about everything. We do most of our shopping there.
