I took the kids to school with the sled. On my way back, I shot some pictures :)
Luckily, I shoot in RAW(+JPEG): I forgot about the Flash exposure compensation I had set for the 'Swirling glitter' pictures. All images were pretty dark, but easily recovered in ufraw.
Most winter/snow pictures are deliberately blue-ish, but I like a warmer color

This used to be a german military graveyard: 'Ehrenfriedhof N°179 - Marcke-lez-Courtrai'. In 1955 the remains of the soldiers were relocated to the Meenen-Wald cemetery.
There used to be 4 or 5 levels, but only 2 remain.

Bekannt ist Sochaux als Standort der größten Automobil-Fabrik der Marke Peugeot mit etwa 16.000 Mitarbeitern (Stand 2005), durch den Erstliga-Fußballverein FC Sochaux und das Musée de l'Aventure Peugeot.

Yvan Theys (Marke, 1936 - Warcoing, 2005) was a Belgian painter, draftsman, graphic artist and sculptor. His early work is abstract. His work is influenced by the Cobra group and in the 1960s he was one of the founders of the new figuration, a movement that seeks a new vision on the relationship between abstraction and figuration. As a sculptor, he created expressionist painted wooden sculptures. In his later visual language, the human figures become increasingly twisted and fragmented, while the psychic charge becomes more explicit.
This work can be admired at the Middelheim campus of the University of Antwerp.
Yvan Theys (Marke, 1936 - Warcoing, 2005) was een Belgisch kunstschilder, tekenaar, graficus en beeldhouwer. Zijn vroeg werk is abstract. Zijn werk ondergaat invloed van de Cobra-groep en hij behoorde in de jaren 1960 tot de grondleggers van de nieuwe figuratie, een stroming die een nieuwe visie op de relatie tussen abstractie en figuratie zoekt. Creëert als beeldhouwer expressionistische beschilderde houten sculpturen. In zijn latere beeldtaal worden de menselijke figuren steeds meer verwrongen en gefragmenteerd, terwijl de psychische geladenheid steeds explicieter aanwezig is.
Dit werk kan bewonderd worden op de campus Middelheim van de Universeit van Antwerpen.

Cette œuvre peut être admirée au Campus Middelheim de l'Université d'Anvers.
