Topographical maps of the whole of Italy, painted on the walls by friar Ignazio Danti of Perugia, commissioned by Pope Gregory XIII (1572–1585). This gallery is situated at the west side of the Belvedere Courtyard. It is 120 m long. It took Ignazio Danti three years (1580–1583) to complete the 40 panels. The decorations on the vaulted ceiling are the work of a group of Mannerist artists (such as Cesare Nebbia and Girolamo Muziano).

On Google maps, I spotted another hot spring in the vicinity of Snively Hot Springs. So, on the way to Snively, we made slight detour, and stopped where a hot spring was supposed to be. After some looking around the brush, we found it! (Mitchell Butte Hot Spring). We found three hot forks of water, and a couple of ponds. One fork start way up the butte.
I think this is one of the most beautiful hot springs that I have seen. I loved the setting!

I need to start taking pictures on rides again, this one was just too Serious Business for me to remember to pull out the camera. Map, instead!

I don't recall ever experiencing an entire night of lighting and thunder as we had last night. As luck would have it a line of thunderstorms from the south west drifted north east, dragging right across Cleveland. The massive amount of rain and warmer temps melted over a foot of snow in a few hours. Intellicast.com screen capture from my iPad.
