This is a scan of a reproduction included with video of steam railways in the DDR.
I produced 2 mind maps to give me creative direction.
I started with human emotions and stereotypes, however I found it too direct, but rather enjoyed the idea of finding human links in a chosen Animal. In this case, I chose the Dumbo Octopus, this drove me to do relevant research on their behaviours which further extended my knowledge on this species but also creatively influenced my designs.
