I had planned to use this for a personal puzzle from Wentworth using their new train tessellation cut (Autumn 2018). They contacted me to say they were no longer prepared to make specified-cut jigsaws unless I accepted a steep c40% increase in price - from £36 to £50 for a 250pc. Apparently I am the only one they offer this service to, and the charge was to cover on-costs for the non-standard manufacturing process . After a lot of thought I decided not to go ahead with this particular jigsaw at this time.

Good American Solid Steel! The welding blob is not a failure -

but rather a product of the manufacturing process. The two pieces are machined from different diameters of stock and joined by "Friction Welding" where the pieces are rotated against each other until red hot, and then forced together as a "forge weld". The excess is machined off. Some are cleaner than others.

Description of Stainless Steel Gate Valve:

ZECO stainless steel gate valve is basically used for pipelines with corrosive media. For any kind of stainless steel material, the ability to resist medium corrosion is relatively limited, and is affected by many external factors, such as temperature, pressure, PH. However, as long as the heat treatment and processing process are completely in accordance with the standard in the manufacturing process, the material can be guaranteed to withstand corrosion within the range of corrosion. So in the selection of stainless steel gate valve, we need to consider the concentration of medium, working environment temperature and the selection of materials and other factors on corrosion resistance. So pretty, all the very thick glass squares are shattered, but this only adds to the interest of these pavement lights. Apparently they were originally created for ships to allow light below deck. The colours in the older glass comes from the manufacturing process where they often used silica from sand that contained iron and other impurities. This light source for basements gradually disappeared with the advent of electric lighting. Shame, I say...

Biological organic fertilizer manufacturing process can use straw to produce organic fertilizer. Adopting advanced composting fermentation technology, inoculation with high-speed and high-efficiency fermentation inoculants, the straw cellulose is quickly decomposed and transformed, all kinds of pathogenic bacteria, weed seeds and roundworm eggs are killed.

一. Crushing and stirring

Straw treatment should first crush the straw to a certain degree of fineness, and then must add appropriate amount of poultry manure or sludge and other raw materials to adjust the carbon-to-nitrogen ratio and moisture of composting materials, or add strains and enzymes.

二. Fermentation

1. The first stage is pre-fermentation, which can be carried out in the open air or in the fermentation device. The stacking layer or forced fermentation ventilation is used to supply oxygen to the accumulation layer or fermentation device. Straw is the main body to add livestock and poultry manure. The main fermentation of aerobic composting The period is about 3 to 10 days.

2. The second stage is post-fermentation. The semi-finished product after the main fermentation is sent to the post-fermentation process to further decompose easily decomposable organic matter and more difficult-to-decompose organic matter that have not been decomposed in the main fermentation process, making it stable into humic acid and amino acids. Organic matter, to obtain fully rotted organic fertilizer products, post-fermentation time is usually more than 20 to 30 days.

三. Further processing

After treatment, it can be further dried and crushed as needed, and then processed into crop-specific organic and inorganic compound fertilizers.

四. Storage

Storage compost is generally used in spring and autumn, and must be stored in summer and winter. The storage method can be directly stored in the fermentation tank or in a bag, which requires dry and breathable.

The bio-organic fertilizer produced by straw contains a large amount of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other elements required for crop growth, and also contains trace elements such as sulfur, calcium, magnesium, zinc, boron, molybdenum, copper and iron, and most of them exist in organic form . It can not only meet the needs of crop growth, but also improve the adaptability of crops to poor environments.

Alexander Lyman Holley (born 20 July 1832 - died 29 January 1882) was a mechanical engineer and was considered the foremost steel and plant engineer and designer of his time, especially in regard to applying research to modern steel manufacturing processes. He received 15 patents, 10 for improvements in the Bessemer process, which he purchased the rights to in 1863 and brought to the United States. He soon designed and built Bessemer plants in Troy, New York, and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He planned or was consulted on a dozen others. He chaired the first meeting of the founders of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) in the offices of the American Machinist on 16 February 1880, and is credited for establishing the intellectual boundaries of the mechanical engineering profession and ASME. He was born in Lakeville, Connecticut, and died in Brooklyn, New York. During his early 20s, Holley was a close friend of Zerah Colburn, the well-known locomotive engineer and journalist/publilsher. In 1857, the duo visited Britain and France and compiled a report for the presidents of American railroads, The Permanent Way. In 1860, the two travelled together on the maiden voyage of Isambard Kingdom Brunel's Great Eastern. Holley's most famous book, Armor, followed a visit he made to Britain in 1863 when he again met Zerah Colburn.

Advanced Additive Manufacturing for Hypersonic Aircraft

Utilizing new methods of fabrication and construction, make it possible to use additive manufacturing, dramatically reducing the time and costs of producing hypersonic platforms from missiles, aircraft, and space capable craft. Instead of aircraft being produced in piece, then bolted together; small platforms can be produced as a single unit and large platforms can be produces in large section and mated without bolting. These techniques include using exotic materials and advanced assembly processes, with an end result of streamlining the production costs and time for hypersonic aircraft; reducing months of assembly to weeks. Overall, this process greatly reduced the cost for producing hypersonic platforms. Even to such an extent that a Hellfire missile costs apx $100,000 but by utilizing our technologies, replacing it with a Mach 8-10 hypersonic missile of our physics/engineering and that missile would cost roughly $75,000 each delivered.

Materials used for these manufacturing processes are not disclosed, but overall, provides a foundation for extremely high stresses and thermodynamics, ideal for hypersonic platforms. This specific methodology and materials applications is many decades ahead of all known programs. Even to the extend of normalized space flight and re-entry, without concern of thermodynamic failure.

*Note, most entities that are experimenting with additive manufacturing for hypersonic aircraft, this makes it mainstream and standardized processes, which also applies for mass production.

What would normally be measured in years and perhaps a decade to go from drawing board to test flights, is reduced to singular months and ready for production within a year maximum.

Unified Turbine Based Combined Cycle (U-TBCC)

To date, the closest that NASA and industry have achieved for turbine based aircraft to fly at hypersonic velocities is by mounting a turbine into an aircraft and sharing the inlet with a scramjet or rocket based motor. Reaction Engines Sabre is not able to achieve hypersonic velocities and can only transition into a non air breathing rocket for beyond Mach 4.5

However, utilizing Unified Turbine Based Combine Cycle also known as U-TBCC, the two separate platforms are able to share a common inlet and the dual mode ramjet/scramjet is contained within the engine itself, which allows for a much smaller airframe footprint, thus engingeers are able to then design much higher performance aerial platforms for hypersonic flight, including the ability for constructing true single stage to orbit aircraft by utilizing a modification/version that allows for transition to outside atmosphere propulsion without any other propulsion platforms within the aircraft. By transitioning and developing aircraft to use Unified Turbine Based Combined Cycle, this propulsion system opens up new options to replace that airframe deficit for increased fuel capacity and/or payload.

Enhanced Dynamic Cavitation

Dramatically Increasing the efficiency of fuel air mixture for combustion processes at hypersonic velocities within scramjet propulsion platforms. The aspects of these processes are non disclosable.

Dynamic Scramjet Ignition Processes

For optimal scramjet ignition, a process known as Self Start is sought after, but in many cases if the platform becomes out of attitude, the scramjet will ignite. We have already solved this problem which as a result, a scramjet propulsion system can ignite at lower velocities, high velocities, at optimal attitude or not optimal attitude. It doesn't matter, it will ignite anyways at the proper point for maximum thrust capabilities at hypersonic velocities.

Hydrogen vs Kerosene Fuel Sources

Kerosene is an easy fuel to work with, and most western nations developing scramjet platforms use Kerosene for that fact. However, while kerosene has better thermal properties then Hydrogen, Hydrogen is a far superior fuel source in scramjet propulsion flight, do it having a much higher efficiency capability. Because of this aspect, in conjunction with our developments, it allows for a MUCH increased fuel to air mixture, combustion, thrust; and ability for higher speeds; instead of very low hypersonic velocities in the Mach 5-6 range. Instead, Mach 8-10 range, while we have begun developing hypersonic capabilities to exceed 15 in atmosphere within less then 5 years.

Conforming High Pressure Tank Technology for CNG and H2.

As most know in hypersonics, Hydrogen is a superior fuel source, but due to the storage abilities, can only be stored in cylinders thus much less fuel supply. Not anymore, we developed conforming high pressure storage technology for use in aerospace, automotive sectors, maritime, etc; which means any overall shape required for 8,000+ PSI CNG or Hydrogen. For hypersonic platforms, this means the ability to store a much larger volume of hydrogen vs cylinders.

As an example, X-43 flown by Nasa which flew at Mach 9.97. The fuel source was Hydrogen, which is extremely more volatile and combustible then kerosene (JP-7), via a cylinder in the main body. If it had used our technology, that entire section of the airframe would had been an 8,000 PSI H2 tank, which would had yielded 5-6 times the capacity. While the X-43 flew 11 seconds under power at Mach 9.97, at 6 times the fuel capacity would had yielded apx 66 seconds of fuel under power at Mach 9.97. If it had flew slower, around Mach 6, same principles applied would had yielded apx 500 seconds of fuel supply under power (slower speeds required less energy to maintain).

Enhanced Fuel Mixture During Shock Train Interaction

Normally, fuel injection is conducted at the correct insertion point within the shock train for maximum burn/combustion. Our methodologies differ, since almost half the fuel injection is conducted PRE shock train within the isolator, so at the point of isolator injection the fuel enhances the combustion process, which then requires less fuel injection to reach the same level of thrust capabilities.

Improved Bow Shock Interaction

Smoother interaction at hypersonic velocities and mitigating heat/stresses for beyond Mach 6 thermodynamics, which extraordinarily improves Type 3, 4, and 5 shock interaction.

6,000+ Fahrenheit Thermal Resistance

To date, the maximum thermal resistance was tested at AFRL in the spring of 2018, which resulted in a 3,200F thermal resistance for a short duration. This technology, allows for normalized hypersonic thermal resistance of 3,000-3,500F sustained, and up to 6,500F resistance for short endurance, ie 90 seconds or less. 10-20 minute resistance estimate approximately 4,500F +/- 200F.

*** This technology advancement also applies to Aerospike rocket engines, in which it is common for Aerospike's to exceed 4,500-5,000F temperatures, which results in the melting of the reversed bell housing. That melting no longer ocurrs, providing for stable combustion to ocurr for the entire flight envelope

Scramjet Propulsion Side Wall Cooling

With old technologies, side wall cooling is required for hypersonic flight and scramjet propulsion systems, otherwise the isolator and combustion regions of a scramjet would melt, even using advanced ablatives and ceramics, due to their inability to cope with very high temperatures. Using technology we have developed for very high thermodynamics and high stresses, side wall cooling is no longer required, thus removing that variable from the design process and focusing on improved ignition processes and increasing net thrust values.

Lower Threshold for Hypersonic Ignition

Active and adaptive flight dynamics, resulting in the ability for scramjet ignition at a much lower velocity, ie within ramjet envelope, between Mach 2-4, and seamless transition from supersonic to hypersonic flight, ie supersonic ramjet (scramjet). This active and dynamic aspect, has a wide variety of parameters for many flight dynamics, velocities, and altitudes; which means platforms no longer need to be engineered for specific altitude ranges or preset velocities, but those parameters can then be selected during launch configuration and are able to adapt actively in flight.

Dramatically Improved Maneuvering Capabilities at Hypersonic Velocities

Hypersonic vehicles, like their less technologically advanced brethren, use large actuator and the developers hope those controls surfaces do not disintegrate in flight. In reality, it is like rolling the dice, they may or may not survive, hence another reason why the attempt to keep velocities to Mach 6 or below. We have shrunken down control actuators while almost doubling torque and response capabilities specifically for hypersonic dynamics and extreme stresses involved, which makes it possible for maximum input authority for Mach 10 and beyond.

Paradigm Shift in Control Surface Methodologies, Increasing Control Authority (Internal Mechanical Applications)

To date, most control surfaces for hypersonic missile platforms still use fins, similar to lower speed conventional missiles, and some using ducted fins. This is mostly due to lack of comprehension of hypersonic velocities in their own favor. Instead, the body itself incorporates those control surfaces, greatly enhancing the airframe strength, opening up more space for hardware and fuel capacity; while simultaneously enhancing the platforms maneuvering capabilities.

A scramjet missile can then fly like conventional missile platforms, and not straight and level at high altitudes, losing velocity on it's decent trajectory to target. Another added benefit to this aspect, is the ability to extend range greatly, so if anyone elses hypersonic missile platform were developed for 400 mile range, falling out of the sky due to lack of glide capabilities; our platforms can easily reach 600+ miles, with minimal glide deceleration.

HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) is the most basic way of approach towards safety of food. It consists of physical, chemical, and biological hazards to ensure safe food to describe the key controls compared on the concentrate resources with a manufactured product to be not safe and designs measures to reduce risks to a safe level.

HACCP Certification in Qatar is one of the good marketing tools and helps to achieve food safety or precluding food safety hazards in an excellent and ideal way. A individual, a team, project management, a firm, an organization or any company that chooses to work in an in a positive way in order to achieve aim or goal. Responsibility and hard work changes from something called as certainty which is revolving this highly propagating global market.

HACCP Certification Cost in Qatar is lowest and cost-effective. This is the major important reason for industrial growth today are deliberately willing to get a good approach to witness reliability and repeated improvement in the market.

Food safety is one of the important and vital cases, and then the resolution would be with HACCP Certification Consultants in Qatar. Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point are one of the highly endorsed and highly implemented ways across the globe to prevent food safety hazards. HACCP in Qatar is a conservative way to food safety from biological, chemical and physical hazards in making processes that can cause the completed product to be unsafe. An advisory committee known as National Advisory Committee on Microbiological Criteria for Foods (NACMCF) chartered under the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and also Food and drug administration (FDA) of U.S provides guidance and amends legislation for food safety. The HACCP is a important step to get license from being castigated due to non compliance pertaining to FDA.

HACCP Team is responsible to implement the path completely. They are

Assembling the HACCP Team

Explaining the food and its distribution

Mentioning the utility and the consumer type of the food

Write down the steps or a flow diagram to explain the each and every step involved in the process

Check and verify the flow diagram developed

Fill in the enquiry form and we will conduct a free gap analysis based on HACCP and your

Organization requirement and we will provide you a quotation with scheduled trainings will follow together with documentation requirements for certification.

Once you are done the trainings and documentations, a pre-audit will be conducted.

Last Internal Private audit and reports will be executed by Certification Auditors. Assistance would ensure you close all non conformance records.

Once your organization is 100% yielding to HACCP, a certificate will be issued.

Benefits of HACCP in Qatar:

•The main platform for international legislation and good manufacturing practices for all sectors of the food industry

•Forms a key component of many certified compliance standard

•Main element of international trade in food products.

•A risk management tool recollected internationally for use in the excited management of food safety issues

•Helps you to focus on the hazards that effect food safety through hazard recognition and to standardize critical control limits at critical points during the manufacturing process.

•Relevant to all the complete sectors of the food industry consists of preliminary producers, manufacturers, processor and food service operators who wants to describe their allegiance with national or international food safety legislation concerns.

Soju (Hangul 소주; Hanja 燒酒) is a distilled beverage native to Korea. Jinro and Lotte soju are the first and third top selling alcohol brands in the world.[1] Its taste is comparable to vodka, though often slightly sweeter due to sugars added in the manufacturing process. It is usually consumed neat.

Ⅰ. The injection molding process can improve the product quality of automobile dashboard

In the production of auto parts, dashboards are one of the most common auto parts requirements. Nowadays, the design of automobile dashboards is mostly produced by plastic manufacturing. With the development of automobiles in terms of safety and environmental protection, people's requirements for safety and environmental protection of automobile trims are also increasing; at the same time, more and more dashboards adopt the appearance design of seamless airbag doors, which puts forward higher and higher requirements on the manufacturing process of the dashboard.

Take Chevrolet's dashboard as an example. The total weight of the dashboard system is about 17KG. Its component structures mainly include: dashboard body, airbag frame, dashboard lower body, sub-instrument panel body, interior trim panel, decorative panel, wind pipe, mobile ashtray; main materials: general-purpose plastic PP+EPDM-T20, PP-T20, ABS, PC+ABS, HDPE; engineering plastic PA+30GF%, POM, etc., based on a rough calculation, the amount of modified PP accounts for 80% of the plastic used in the dashboard. If you want to improve the product quality of the car dashboard, you must pay attention to the process of injection molding in automotive industry.

Ⅱ. The injection molding process of the instrument panel

The dried plastic particles are cut in the injection molding machine through the screw and the barrel is heated and melted and then injected into the instrument panel mold to cool to obtain the finished product. Used to manufacture rigid plastic instrument panel body, blister and soft instrument panel skeleton and most other related parts. Hard plastic instrument panel materials mostly use PP, and the materials of instrument panel skeleton mainly include modified materials such as PC/ABS, PP, PPO (PPE). For other parts, ABS, PVC, PC, PA and other materials are selected according to different functions, structures and appearance requirements.

The injection molding processing of the instrument panel can be further divided into: gas-assisted injection molding, sequence valve injection molding, compound injection molding, insert injection molding, two-color injection molding, two-shot injection molding, etc.

1. Gas-assisted injection molding

Gas-assisted injection molding is an injection molding process in which molten plastic particles are injected into the mold while a certain amount of inert gas is injected, and a specific area of the part is formed into a hollow structure through the design of the gas path, structure and process control. The hollow structure not only enhances the mechanical properties of the parts, but also reduces the wall thickness of the parts, improves the appearance of the parts, and reduces the material cost and forming cycle.

2. Sequence valve injection

Through the valve interlocked with the equipment, the opening and closing of different gates of the mold hot runner are controlled to control the injection molding process of the material flow. This process is suitable for thin-walled and long-process products, reduces the requirements for the clamping force of the equipment, optimizes the surface quality, and shortens the forming cycle.

3. Composite injection

Place a sheet that matches the shape of the mold or a shapeless sheet on the side of the movable mold of the injection mold, and then injection molding, so that the product has a two-layer structure while using the mold to give the shape. The advantage is that the processing procedures are reduced, the product appearance is good, and the adhesion between parts is strong.

06. With care lift the bottom off the top cover and the epoxy resin block. This is how the PSU looks with the bottom removed. My guess is the manufacturing process filled the top cover with the epoxy resin and then the components were sunk into it, the bottom glued and pushed in to be held in by the corners, and then the closed PSU was left to harden and seal.

I did a lot of brazing for training purposes before building my firs own fork.

Joints were cut to analyse solder distribution and connection between materials.

Enjoyed the improvement in the manufacturing process!

Design Fictions: Posthumanity in the age of Synthetics

'Voluntary Mutations | The Posthuman Body: Addressing Bio-Subcultures'

How can the textile discipline critically engage the public with emerging biotechnologies and the life sciences?

Design Fictions is a critical design project made up of a collection of carefully considered and crafted design fictions. These provide a strong narrative to provoke debate and dialogue into the life science industry and the appropriation of life, whilst also making us reconsider the role of the designer whose manufacturing process is likely to take place in a laboratory in 2075. Based on research driven future scenarios that depict converging threads around a vision of potential biofutures, the purpose of the work is to raise critical questions over our current understanding of the potential cultural and environmental implications of synthetic biology and stem cell technology.

Voluntary Mutations explores the aesthetic possibilities of a subculture derived from an environment where D.I.Y stem cell biology becomes as ubiquitous as computing, while Parasitic Prosthesis suggests that the posthuman body is genetically synthesized with home-cultured parasitic organisms, so that it may quickly adapt to the challenges of a new environmental paradigm. Biocollectibles provokes debate into the quietly ominous market for genetic products that has the potential to render our bodies as future farms, and is illustrated by a very precious, very valuable Genetic First Aid Cabinet.
