Window front of a university building in my city
On this Sunday I only had old manual lenses with me, but wanted to try out architectural images like this anyway when I "stumbled upon" this glass building ...
This 29mm lens is a bit soft at the edges even when stopped down, so it might be an advantage that I'm shooting with a 1.5 crop (APSC) sensor ... and it isn't that easy to get the focus right ... but I had fun playing around a bit ( kudos to my husband and his patience! ) : ))

My eldest son and I had been ordered to go and get the car whist the other 3 waited at the park. As Oliver and I wondered along the Shropshire Union Canal tow path, the sun getting fairly low in the sky, I spotted a fully seeded dandelion. I had to give a favourite shot of mine another attempt; capturing the seeds being blown off in flight. It's quite tricky to do, especially hand held - I got Oliver to hold the plant still while I focused up - and flicked to manual focus. Poised to fire and hold the shutter release down - I was suddenly distracted by a rather pleasent fellow walker who had spotted what we were doing and was waiting patiently for us to execute our photographic "masterpiece". Naturally I insisted she go past (not wanting the pressure of being watched) and we re-set-up and went for it. 1-2-3 - blow... Here's the result, I missed probably some of the best bits, but hey ho...
HSS: attempted to make this lower contrast in pp and added one extra seed at the edge of the frame...

I've shot this place behind the food lion in town before but used a 35mm and wasnt totally thrilled with the results and wanted to go back to use a 50. Its about the size of an old Kmart and just full of stuff of all kinds. It used to be a textile mill, Upholstery shop and other things. Now its for collecting .
I was out with a photographer friend yesterday and mentioned it since we were heading towards town and she said yeah lets check it out.
I got out and set up the tripod, release, CPL and focus and I hear someone coming out of the back. He looks at me says, " There must be better things to shoot than the junk in there". I disagreed and said the beauty of decay is underrated sir. He then laughed and agreed and told me about his father who was a photographer way back when he was a kid. So he told me a bout how good his father was and wished he pursued it more.
Turns out his son owns the building and just sold it , its scheduled for demolition soon he told me so I asked him if he would mind posing downstairs since he was part of its history, he agreed.
This is Tim down below ,shot through a broken out window on the right side. What you see hanging is the roof falling in , hence the light from above and the hot spots everywhere. The CPL was about no match for those but they work with it I think.. Thank you to Tim and Joyce!

Thanks to all of you for checking out my work, appreciate all of you!

Willow trees, for example, are characteristic of the appearance of the Lower Rhine region.
The Lower Rhine district of Wesel and the Swiss municipality of Widnau have a pollarded willow in their coat of arms.
Today there is hardly any economic use of pastures, as industrial substitute products have established themselves.
Carl Zeiss Ultron with concave front element is becoming rapidly one of my favorite lenses. Versatile and pleasant to work with. It renders black and white photos with a touch of melancholy of 70-ies but almost with the sharpness of modern lenses.
I did some post-processing to add a bit of that looks from 70-is that I like.

I took the manual Ricoh XR Rikenon 50mm with me just in case I felt like playing around a bit .... and I actually did : ))

Walking a nature trail in Ottawa I decided to put on my very old Takumar 135/3.5 preset. A bunch of wild turkeys come walking down the trail. So this is one of the better pics I got using a MF lens. Oh and I hadn't noticed that my thumb moved the iso from Auto to 8000. Thanks Topaz software.
