Emprendedores, empresarios, makers y estudiantes participaron ayer en la Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería de Telecomunicaciones de la UPCT de una jornada para descubrir las tecnologías del futuro, en concreto, Internet de las Cosas.

Esta iniciativa forma parte de la European Maker Week, una semana de eventos auspiciados por la Startup Europe y la Comisión Europea y que tiene entre sus objetivos dar a conocer y motivar a los jóvenes estudiantes para que orienten su carrera profesional hacia lo que se conoce como Internet of Things (Internet de las Cosas). Esta tecnología permitirá que miles de millones de objetos que forman parte de nuestra vida cotidiana estén conectados a internet.

Durante la jornada, organizada por Cloud Incubator Hub y la aceleradora de proyectos de IoT Startup Scaleup, se realizaron demostraciones de robótica y mecatrónica. Asimismo se realizó una visita al taller donde se trabaja el vehículo inteligente desarrollados con la misma tecnología que utiliza Google por parte de investigadores de la UPCT y que forman parte de Cloud Incubator Hub.
