Mainboard of a small toy helicopter. The internal LiPo battery swelled up and got nice and spicy so I decided to take it apart and have a look inside the chips.

Screw the transport back in the case. Note the blu-tac I used to hold the screw onto the driver tip - I didn't want it falling out and going under the mainboard! I really must get some magnetised driver tips...

Makerbot 5th Gen Replicator + mainboard Rev-G.
Not many changes from the previous version. Mostly a minor layout change in the stepper driver subsystem. The J8 header is for the Z axis safety limit switch. Curious what other limit switch signals might be present in that connector??
This is a really sweet motherboard from Intel. It comes pre-installed with an ATOM processor running at 1.6ghz. The MITX board is small form factor measuring roughly 6" inches by 6 inches. Really great board for project PCs as it costs about $65 and all you need to do is slap on some memory.

My main PC. it is my best one - or, better said, the one that sucks less than the others. Powered with a duron-700 a classmate gave me, an old elitegroup-mainboard, 768 megs SDRAM (yeah!), 3 IDE-harddisks (40, 20 and 8 gig), LG DVD-writer, an old adaptec-scsi-controller with 8x-cd-writer and 2-gig-harddisk a friend wanted to throw away and an ATI radeon 8500 i bought used. the big floppy drive is from a trash container at school but it is not connected atm (like most optical drives you see). the bigtower-case with power supply was standing at school for a long time, and once my teacher asked me if i need it.. so i got it for 15 euro.
this beast is damned slow, but it was cheap (and i cant afford a new one) and works.

I had the case open today to clean the keyboard switch pads, so I figured I might take a couple shots of the boards.
This is actually the second mainboard that I've had in this system. The first died and was replaced just before I sent the system to my dad in 1986. I got a beater console that had a working board from a secondhand computer store for $25, and swapped it out.
I'll bet this voids my warranty. ;-)
