The main Post Office in Fairbanks Alaska on January 31 at 1 o'clock in the afternoon the sun this time of the year never comes off the southern horizon by much.
"siamo (sic) tutti geni e grandi artisti, amica mia, almeno lo riteniamo e poi ci sfoghiamo, possiamo mandare la gente a fare in culo senza essere licenziati o querelati. se noti flickr è il riflesso negativo della società contemporanea. i comportamenti abituali negli uffici, sulle strade, la violenza innescata da giornali e giornalisti, sono amplificati nel web e flickr è la prova del nove"
This is officially the smallest post office in the U.S.. I had just been to the Clyde Butcher Gallery a few miles down the road and was inspired by his B&W photos. I couldn't pass up these clouds and the post office trivia. This was shot for strictly a B&W photo, something I do to little of.
Lookey..... we have SNOW!! 😊
Thank you dear Auntie Shannon for sending us the cutest snowman kit and snow!!!
We seldom get snow where we live, so out of the kindness of her heart Shannon sent us a box full!! What fun!!
Now Fig and all the dolly's can play with snow and build a snowman anytime they want!!
Yippee!!

On a threadbare shopping street I always enjoy exploring. Memorable this time for a bad-ass tenor saxophonist practicing deep inside in the depths of a decaying building, and the other photographer who saw me coming and hurried away. Guess I represented the competition.
73129 standing at the Royal Mail platform at Tonbridge prior to working the 13:20 Glasgow vans. Although this platform is still there, it is all closed off now and all mail goes by road. 20 November 1995.
The Mail Rail museum train arrives back at the station, which is located in the old maintenance shop of the original Mail Rail system.
Chain mail bikinis are not historic. They are farsical and the invention of 1970s sword and sorcery art for Conan the Barbarian and Red Sonja. The wire bikini worn by Princess Leiah in Return of the Jedi cemented them into popular culture and they are a mainstay at renaissance festivals now. Unfortunately they usually look ridiculous on the women who wear them.
However, this young lady would certainly be the exception. I think she stepped out of a Boris Vallejo painting or something. Karela the Red Hawk perhaps?
Here we see Royal Mail's 325014 passing through Tamworth Low Level whilst working empty from Crewe T.M.D to Willesden. Observed on 31st May 2016

now, the phone thingy obviously did not work out for odd, so the next thing he thought of was the royal mail. he really liked the bright red of those boxes too. he wanted to send his mommy a letter, and for inspiration he said, he wanted to read the other letters in the box. i told him he couldn't do that, then i told him to at least be careful, but of course he wouldn't listen and got himself stuck - again!
Must've driven past this a thousand times the past few years and never had the time to stop and shoot. Finally managed it today, no camera but at least I had my phone!
Anyhow, happy Christmas and New Year to you all. I'm not back as I'm not feeling inspired right now...just don't know what I want to shoot: apart from Mail Pouch barns, that is! :-)
