I haven't been feeling well for a couple of days so I haven't done any shooting. But today, the urge just got too strong. So I pulled out my close-up lens and tripod, and played a bit.
I'm not sure I can put into words how I see this. Something like being in a room full of people...yet alone. As if all eyes are on you...magnified to the world. I don't know...but it makes total sense to me...I'm sure I'm not alone in having felt this way at times.
This one really is much better On Black

"We are all students of life and not put here to judge each other When feeling the need to judge, pick up a mirror, not a magnifying glass.
I wasn't sure whet I was going to use for this challenge and then I thought about these which I used recently.
Belonged to my Father although I don't know what he used them for. They are worn on the head and the magnifier is hinged to lift up out of the way when not using. Provides hands free magnification and so it is very useful. This is in its original box, the bottom of which is velvet lined for protection. I used them recently when looking for that dreaded broken needle inside my machine. Ideal for close intricate work potentially jewellery work
Using a prism to magnify the pictures, why, because I am so bored and there is only so much Netflix you can watch

The forlorn quality of these little graveside statues seems magnified when they are viewed in the context of the harsh weather conditions that I often find them. Damp, foggy, drenched with rain, covered with moss and mold, or in this case, partially entombed by a blanket of snow. The figurines seems to be a focal point for the grief and loss. I often sense this energy as I wander through these places. Sometimes I'm able to channel it visually through the camera. I'm always walking a fine line between capturing a sensitive portrayal and exploiting another person's loss. The yardstick of success is knowing whether or not I could show the image to the departed's family.
Macro Mondays: Hand Tool
Mini eye-glass repair kit. Screws so tiny they give you a mini magnifying glass!

A droplet of water which had landed on a leaf and magnified the structure. Captured with a Nikon D610, Sigma 150mm Macro, ISO 110, f/5.6, 1/400 and with Arsenal in handheld mode. Editing just in lightroom 6.

'Some scars are visible on plain sight, some are a bit on the shadows, but there are other ones, the ones that slowly destroy your own existence, that can't hardly bee seen.
I have plenty of those...'
Very early on I decided that I wanted to avoid regular glasses. So magnifying glasses where my option, but, suprise!, it's kind of hard to find one nowadays!!
I know that it's sort of hard to actually fully see/understand the object in this shoot, but that was the best I got and I'm running out of time (as always!)
So excuse me for that.
Super grainy, but I shoot this at 1 am (Ugh..uni is such a pain in the rear!!)
I though of removing my super hardcore veins, but end up thinking they give a creepy feel to the image :)

The problem of paper waste is SO BIG it may seem magnified but I'm sad to say it's not...
Used paper towels create 254 million tons of trash every year.
Once used, paper towels cannot be recycled.
As many as 51,000 trees per day are required to replace the number of paper towels that are discarded every day.
A problem, I think you'll agree!
