A portrait capturing the timeless elegance and proud heritage of Scottish formal attire. The Prince Charlie Kilt Outfit is the pinnacle of black-tie wear for any gentleman looking to make a distinguished statement at a formal event, especially a wedding.
This made-to-measure outfit, crafted by our artisans at Scot Kilt Store, features several key traditional components:
The Prince Charlie Jacket & Vest: A meticulously tailored black Barathea wool jacket with satin lapels, silver-plated buttons, and a matching three-button waistcoat. Its distinctive high cut is designed to perfectly showcase the kilt.
The 8-Yard Kilt: Woven from a high-quality acrylic wool blend, this kilt features deep, sharp pleats and is available in a wide variety of tartans to honor your family's heritage or personal style.
The Dress Sporran: A formal sporran made with real fur and a polished metallic cantle, serving as both a pocket and a key decorative piece.
The Accessories: The look is completed with traditional cream-colored kilt hose, ghillie brogues, and matching tartan flashes.
This isn't just clothing; it's a piece of history tailored for the most important moments of your life. Every detail is customizable to ensure a perfect, comfortable, and confident fit.

Andrew Smith made these shoes as a self-portrait as an entry for a competition for Norwich Fringe Festival at the Bally Shoe Factory in Norwich in 2003 when there was a 'Self-portrait in a shoebox' competition. His entry wasn't chosen as a winner because the judges thought they were too 'professional' and he must have had help.
Anyway, they were modelled on a pair of Italian shoes that he had bought in a little shop in Soho, London and the boxes nested like Matrioska dolls. You can see the real shoes in some of the shots
