I have this Cherry burl for 31 years and many other pieces,
Finally I went in my garage work shop, it really felt great,
One is on a different world working in the shop all alone,
This one has Turquoise crashed inlay,
Finished with Walnut oil and hand polished and buffed with Carnauba wax.
Myself and Joe made the trip and early start and were greeted with Crimson Skies. Worth getting out of bed for as they say.
I don't think I've ever done a shot only from the knees down but I had to make an exception for these amazing boots from Azoury that you can get from today at Cosmopolitan

The Bridge....
Saturday Karen and I made our way to the south end of Heart Lake Conservation Area; The fall is a fickle time. some years the leaves changing colours are okay and others they don't change much at all. some years they last for a long time others a sudden storm and strong winds and its all over.
This is probably the last weekend for shooting fall colours in southern Ontario, the colour display is off the charts, so may varied shades of red, yellow and burnt orange.
this shot is of the bridge in the middle of the park, it is showing signs of its age and will probably be replaced with a much better newer one, but i do love the old worn out version.
Thank you for visiting for marking my photo as a favourite and for the kind comments,

At the site of the former Cadeby and Denaby collieries, beside Conisbrough station. Earth centre is a visitor and education attraction. (though closed at the time of our visit)
I/we had a drive to Doncaster, purely from a rail interest point of view, any how we decided to have a train ride out to Conisbrough, in order to view, albeit partially, Roberts Rd depot, having tried several viewing points on foot,
all in all a good day, having seen 66794 and 66797.
My brother, i think it was, had spoken about the "Earth centre"
though, until i saw the tree, from the station, i had forgotten about it.
Never say never - I thought I'd never be able to capture a kingfisher, but now that one shows up in my favorite Berlin park occasionally, it only took some luck to spot him sitting high up in a tree by the water vs. darting around like a flying jewel....
The original and best of the Forth Bridges this is the railway crossing opened in 1890 by the Prince of Wales (Edward VII).
It was once the longest single-span cantilever bridge in the world, though now pushed into 2nd place by one in Quebec.
It is now classed as a Unesco World Heritage Site and is probably one of the most iconic structures in Scotland.
The Nera Gorge-Beușnița National Park (Romanian: Parcul Național Cheile Nerei-Beușnița) (national park category II IUCN) is a protected area situated in Anina Mts., Caras-Severin County, Romania.
The park has an area of 36,758 ha and represents a mountainous area (mountain peaks, cirques, crevasses, caves, valleys, canyons, waterfalls) sheltering a large variety of flora and fauna with some endemic, rare species.

Another image from our lovely morning on Mam Tor with Lose Hill hiding in the haze from a couple of weeks past.
Thank you so much to everyone who has posted and commented recently, I sincerely apologise for not answering just yet nor being being as active on your streams as well but I will endeavour to catch up when a few personal bis are out of the way :o)
Though I do have technologically advanced cameras, I tend to prefer older cameras (all these are second-hand cameras with a 16MP sensor) and use them manually. I am not rejecting technological excellence and sophisticated algorithms. All I am saying is that I have more joy when working manually and that Fuji's old 16MP sensor is really good enough for my purposes. This shot was done with my new (ten year old) Fuji X-Pro1.
